I luv luv luv Anita, 'cause even to this day, she remains wild and true to herself. I believe she was not just a style inspiration for the Stones, but her presence was always essential for their creative energy. I think even Mick liked having her around, although it has been said that the two of them didn't get along well.

I was very disappointed by Monet Mazur's portrail of Anita in the movie Stoned. Anita was so much more than just a pretty face, she had (has) incredible energy and Monet failed to portray that ...

on the cover it said somethink like anita pallenberg style photographed by jürgen teller..

Great thread! I'm a huuuge fan of the Stones, Brian being my fav(i know just about everything about him). Anita was so beautiful, and not only that, but truly stylish and bewitching.

thanks! you've got a good copy of that film, mine is really blurry and has a reddish tinge to it. it's the english version but i think anita dubbs her part, it really sounds like her

You're welcome! My VHS copy was really orange-yellow. But my DVD version is 100 times better. Yes, it is Anita dubbing her own voice in English. I think her accent is so exotic.

She was so beautiful, and though I think she still is beautiful there is no denying she aged fast.

That is very sad.

I guess her good friend Marianne lucked out b/c she lived almost as hard as Anita and looks much younger.
Did anyone read the part in Marianne's book about how during one time performining Sister Morphine she heard this bellowing German voice screaming she was shooting up in the bathroom?
They lived crazy lives and it's great they are still close friends.

That is very sad.

She has Hepatitis C, which is why she looks very jaundiced (yellow) in recent photos. She also fell and broke her hip in the mid-80's, and it has been giving her a lot of trouble
