I'm so bummed I missed out on the sandal at a decent retail price. Now I'm utterly obsessed (but refuse to pay over $1000 for them, especially because of the crappy CAD. Stupid ebay.) Anyone have a lead on a black size 37 or 37.5 (with heel!)

I tried on the wedge version, but didn't like them as much as the heeled version.

luckyme- you're right about the lighter versions. I tried on the tan wedge version and it didn't look that great, even on my super narrow feet.

Oh, I forgot- I handled the beaded pieces. They are AMAZING, but so damn heavy! I think the best combo (IMO) is black on black. The printed versions are ok, but the shop I was at ordered them in dowdy colours (tan with brown and the reverse- blech)

While browsing I stumbled upon a similar givenchy pair. I like the ann d's more on long model legs, especially how they lace up instead of the elastic, but I think these will be more flattering on me. I kind of needed to wait until my birthday but I couldnt resist with the shopbop code. They were $795 which gives you $125 off, I found an $11 t shirt which bumped up the discount to $200. I'm surprised it even worked since it was past the deadline.

I found this pic on pink horroshow blow modeling them beautifully. The dress is on my wishlist too but I think it'll go on sale.

........I DID IT! I found a pair! I'm supposed to be saving up money for my tuition for next year, but after handing in my thesis, and searching high and low - I got them! I guess Antonioli just got new stock in because they pretty much have all sizes right now. I had been emailing them about the shoes and then they emailed me back today saying they had my size in stock. Anyway - I can't wait. I hope everything goes smoothly....

awesome news meg. it looks like we've got a gaggle of double dippers on these. i wore them the other day for the first spin out, but, with socks since it was still a bit chilly in new england. comfy as hell, just like all her shoes are.

they are versatile but be sure to wear them so you can see them.

i wore black socks with skinny black jeans (my uniform) that hit just above the top of the shoe. i'm most excited to try them this week sockless with a calf length checked lilith bubble skirt and even rolled blue jeans.

Lucky...make it a pool of triple (quadruple?) dippers....I also got a pair a couple of weeks ago but have only worn them out once with socks also due to the chilly weather. But the weather in SoCal is warming up so I expect to be wearing them to death!

I got the givenchy shoes and they're not exactly flattering (I knew they weren't going to be) but they look better than the beige ann d's I tried. I like them a lot. after what lucky said about the black I still really want to try those so I pre ordered them just to try and then hopfully return them.

so you caved?! In what way are they not flattering? On your calves you mean? I have tiny ankles but larger calves, and since I don't have that many dresses that go with them anyway, I actually just want them for wearing under cropped jeans/pants (most of my jeans/pants come to ankle length). For cold months however, I hope to wear them with dresses and tights, which for me I hope will combat any potential calf issues
