Ann Demeulemeester

butbeautiful, yup it's pretty thick for a fashion mag. They usually have good photos and also articles on art and life much like i-D but to that extent.

tricotineacetat, I love that coat as well! But for a guy that lives in a box and in a country that is far away from everywhere the chances of me getting my hands on it are close to me finding an emerald gem under my pillow.
I'm sure you'll have the cash for it though, ain't your shop really successful? ^_^

breathe0xygen, I'm pretty sure you can get your hands on it living in Japan! You get to have your hands on almost everything :P

Alright, I´m sorry if this may be a little off-topic, but I just came up with the idea that instead of buying me this coat, I could probably exchange with somebody - As some might know, I´m working as a buyer in a shop, but we don´t stock Ann Demeulemeester - so if anybody´s interested in something from Dior Homme, Margiela, Anne Valerié Hash or other designers (just check out www.insight-store.de for a list of designers) I´d be more than happy to trade for this women´s coat shown in the last picture posted (the one in white, except that I´d want it in black, preferably velvet, size 38)... I´ve also got some great stuff from last season Hussein Chalayan men´s, Sophia Kokosalaki and others...

Sorry, this is indeed a bit off topic but I´m desperate and don´t know where to ask ...

Haha, you´d be surprised to know that I still do almost everything by myself... shop windows, website (I just shortly started getting myself into that...), designing the shopping bags, serving clients and even the buying ... You see, this is still pretty much a small business and so I don´t do it for the big cash... I actually only get nothing else than some free clothes here and there...

That sounds good to me, proves you in it for the love of great clothing. It's a fairly fun way to make a living. You get to goto shows and stuff, see alot of things and experience alot of things. I wouldn't mind living your life! :flower:

me too :p .

Thanks for the scans - they are gorgeous. They are indeed from A/W 05. I love the aforementined coat (just look at how it falls, that's Ann's genius ^_^ ), the puffy skirt, as well as the men's light jacket and the t-shirt, of course. Surprisingly, some of Ann's prices are decent this season. I already bought a piece for my wife. The t-shirts are expensive though, the l/s angel tee is $220  .

Yeah, that sounds about right. Maybe a little less in the US, but I'm thinking in $1500-2000 range fore sure.

what is the coat made of?

It's a cotton-cashmere blend. Ahhh...
And it apparantly has subtle pastel gradations, maybe in the thread or weave, which can't be seen in the photo.

Beautiful, Honey Blade, thanks for posting!

Oh you're welcome Honey... I wish!! :D Sorry to disappoint...I just read the small print on your scan. B) The fabric sounds delicate and fragile.

I would really like to go try it on however. Where do they have it in Tokyo?

From HintMag.com (http://hintmag.com/shoptart/shoptart.php):
"Ann Demeulemeester, who staged her first men's show this summer in Paris, has finished shipping her largest U.S. menswear order to Atelier, which is also the only shop in New York to carry it. No word yet on when the Belgian's first fragrance will hit counters..."

That's it, I'm going to NYC! First the Cloak flagship then this?

Does anyone know if Atelier take phone orders out of the country?

PS: kLM, did you find a suit for your wedding, or did you get Cloak to alter your suit or something?
