Anna Wintour received a pie in her face !

the devil wears prada, wintour wears custard. THAT will probably feed HER for 4 days.

A majority of our wardrobes are superficial investments. Not that I've seen your closets but I'm pretty sure that you could survive with half the clothing that you probably have...at least I know I could. With the money I spent on a 900$ pair of boots today I could have fed an african village for 4 days.

Most things we buy are superficial investments, do you not agree?

of course .. humans are superficial creatures... but does our superficiality means we can impose death to poor animals for their fur.... it's unjustified.....

there's a huge gap btwn eating animals and killing them for their fur... of course i could still live without eating meat... but tell me which is the most USELESS!?

I'm still not understanding your point. Let me get this straight for a moment. We can justify wearing leather because cows aren't poor animals?

And dont say that it's ok to wear leather because we're going to eat the cow anyway. Then it would be ok to wear rabit fur...I know people who eat rabbit.

CelineChic, kudos to you! And not only kudos, but karma!

It's unfortunate that in this day and age an organization with the public relations reach of PETA allows people to throw pies on their behalf. A childish, sad act.

And as 'evil' and 'scary' as Anna Wintour sounds like she may be in person, no one deserves that. It's like reverting back to grade school and throwing worms (or something) at the ugly kid.

Ridiculous.

At any rate, thanks CelineChic for saying some of what I was already thinking!

First of all, I never ever said wearing leather could be justified.... please do not pull out arguments i never even said...!

FUR is horrible  !!!! I'm not going to argue further because thats my personal opinion.. I'm just declaring where I stand..

That said... the whole throwing pies leaves a bad taste in my mouth... its very childish and these acts only seems to polarize people's opinions

Argueing whether eating meat vs wearing fur is pointless.

People don't need to eat meat, people don't need to wear fur coats. You can get nutrients from meat and you can get years and years out of a fur coat while the animals you eat are in a sense 'gone' while the fur coat you could wear virtually forever.

Personally, though, I chose to do neither.

wow seems like this thread is full of arguments now *pie anyone?* :chef:

I'm a vegetarian and I still wear fur, leather, etc.. but if I didn't I don't think forcing your beliefs on others is a very good way of getting them on "your side". Plus what sets Anna apart from alot of other editors, designers, etc..? I mean I know that they get on the runways sometimes but still why keep creaming anna? I just don't get the concept. That's all of my opinions:innocent:

Maybe if we ignore them, they'll go away:unsure: . I mean, we do keep talking about them, don't we?

it s funny how it s been mentioned many times that no one deserves a pie in the face and poor Anna. come on people it s JUST A PIE, they didn t shoot her or anything. so what if she got a pie??? she s not gonna die from it. maybe now she ll be a little more humble. Well done Peta:clap:

But you're saying that wearing fur for superficial reasons is unjustifiable. In that case wearing leather would be unjustifiable, no?

I bet you wear leather. Would you like a pie in your face every month because people don't agree with what you wear? No!

People can practice whatever they please in a free country, PETA will have to accept that not everyone should think like they do. They'll also have to start like acting like sane people if they want to be taken seriously.

Every time I read articles like this I laugh more at PETA's stupid failing attemps than I do ate the victim.

Agreed wholeheartedly!

Point is: If you want to send a message across do it without physicality.

This is wrong.

PETA is like Al-Qaeda. Terrorizing people that do not agree with there view.

Absolutly inappropriate!

Agreed. There is a lot more useful and tactful ways to get one's point across than throwing food.

Anna attacked!

Anna Wintour of U.S. Vouge got smaked with a tofu cream pie in the face when exiting the Chloe show in Paris...
This seasons been filled with drama, first DVF's mishap and now this...

We have another thread about this.

On a different note, I wish I pied Anna Wintour.

My concern is, does the pie taste good enough???
