i like the collection but i think it's too much ready-to-wear.

I agree. It's not my idea of haute couture.

Is it definitely for a spring/summer collection?? As it looks very winterish not just the dark colours but the outerwear and scarf pictured????

^ hmm good question..
could easily be her fw06.07 a-la Yohji's past Couture Week shows

Catwalking.com calls this Fall/Winter 2006-07 RTW, that would make sense.

editing the title, thanks for checking this up perlefine :flower:

If this is not couture, why does vogue.co.uk have it listed under couture?

Anyway... I like this, wether it is couture or RTW. Loving the silhouettes and the colours. Great collection!

From vogue.co.uk

ANNE VALERIE HASH COUTURETHERE is the argument that if you have enough money to spend on haute couture, you might want to look more put together than the latest collection from Anne Valerie Hash would allow. However, if Haute Couture is the pinnacle of fashion creativity, Hash is the edgiest of the week's big players. Monastic black silk robes fought with frothy nude lace evening dresses and, in between the two, there were tailored wool trousers bursting from baggy mini silk wraparound skirts, interesting asymmetric tweed cropped jackets, tuxedo coats that dragged on the floor on one side and skimmed the elbow on the other and lacy, high-collared Victoriana blouses. While draw-strung necked bubble dresses might be relegated to the wardrobes of only the most die-hard fans, a jersey vest-topped robe with a skirt of ragged black tulle layers is a definite red carpet contender for an actress for whom the Armani-and-Jimmy-Choo combination just isn't fashion forward enough. For day, find a piece of lace - albeit the very best French variety - in granny's attic and wind it around your neck over a buttery leather cropped jacket, rolled up tweed trousers and leggings (which came with everything, by the way). Alternatively there were floral and lace-printed silk day dresses that plunged to show off shoulder-less jersey tops for evening and Hash's signature mannish wool coats to hide ragged lace petticoats beneath. The designer herself, in flat, mannish boots with lace peeping from between her trousers and a large black coat proved that, while the collection ran the gauntlet from ethereal nymph to hard-talking style maven, her look is one that has plenty of potential. re-editing the thread title ?
your game mrDale ;)

It's confusing. Why would anyone show a RTW collection during the HC season? Hasn't this been a question for a longer period by the way?

Here's what it looks like at Catwalking:

This might be why there are slash keys on a keyboard :p

wow  i love this! the wool tweed pants with white leggings underneath - amazing, and the second greyish dress in post 15

perlefine, remember Yohji used to show his pap during couture? anyway, its a tad confusing to me

i really like the pictures from vogue.uk that peacelover posted, especially the third outfit:heart:
the layering is so nice and i love how the rougher fabrics of the jackets bring a twist into her typical aesthetic ... beautiful sílhouettes, too....

thanks for the thread and pictures!

Much better...thank you!

A bit repetitive of others(very Haider Ackermann/Bruno Pieters,I think) but there is alot of strong looks in this, certainly.

It's incredibly wearable. I can see where the couture elements are but it's not as loud as Dior. My only complaint is that it all looks a bit too douty, but I supposed she is going for an older audience anyways.

I like last season better...can't tell what she's doing with this...:(

beautiful, but im getting a chloe vibe off o it. not as interesting as last season, but still pretty

It is very lovely.. i absolutely adore some of the pieces..

.. the look with the black dress with black leggings is stunning!

also.. the long black coat with black leggings is amazing..

Strong collection.

I do not like that last dress over the off shlder top at all.

Loving the dusky purple concoction on Dewi, Solange's voluminous dress, the black shimmery one below that in post#13 & the aforementioned bubble dresses. so is this or isn't it her couture as I was rather expecting more especially after what she did the last time round..
