Annie Leibovitz - Photographer

i love her strange, stark realism. i think it's something about the lightening she uses...

"Year of a Million Dreams" 2008

The fabulous Annie Leibovitz has teamed up with Disney again to shoot the "Year of a Million Dreams" gift promotion ad campaign. In 2007 it was Becks, Beyonce, and Scarlett, and this year Annie's gathered a new group of famous faces to recreate scenes from Disney movies. Gisele joins Mikhail Baryshnikov and Tina Fey (as Tinkerbell — brilliant!) in a scene from Peter Pan, while Jessica Biel takes on the role of Pocahontas (perfectly cast as well). J Lo and Marc are on Aladdin's magic carpet, while Whoopi Goldberg's a Genie in a Bottle. We're used to seeing our favorite celebrities in different roles, but it's always fun to see them reinterpret the classics.

Disney has recently released brand new pictures from the special photoshoot, "Disney Dream Portrait Series", taken by famous photographer Annie Liebovitz to celebrate Disney Parks's "Year of a Million Dreams". I'm sure you all know about this photoshoot; where celebrities transformed into the role of a fabled Disney character. Well, one of these newly released pics features Jennifer Lopez with husband, Salsa singer, Marc Anthony portraying Princess Jasmine and Aladdin, respectively. color me surprised but... Jennifer Lopez? Puede hablar espanol??? (can speak spanish?)

besides that..... the new batch of Disney pics are more than just disappointing. i mean, they're really horrible?

Mikhail Baryshnikov as Peter Pan? Peter Pan's supposed to be an eternal kid! and then they case someone who looks that old? jeez....

Actually, I don't think the pics are horrible, they are quite imaginative and I still like the colouring,
but Mikhail is definitely NOT the PP I'd like to see... :innocent:
anyway, I got another group of pics HQs from hires_hotties

Uff! I thought i was the only one thought those much hyped images were awful, they are horrible and creepy.

And what's with that Peter Pan?! what does a full grown man man with bare legs in a sort of mini skirt in a window has to do with the Peter pan?:yuk: And what is Gisele suppose to be? Bring back the children I say.

Let's not even get started with Jennifer Lopez...

Juno Oscar nominee Ellen Page and Ugly Betty Emmy winner America Ferrera are among 10 young actresses who grace the cover of Vanity Fair's annual Hollywood issue, on stands nationwide Feb. 12. Page, 20, and Ferrera, 23, are joined by Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada), 24; Amy Adams (Enchanted), 33; Jessica Biel (I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry), 25; Anne Hathaway (The Devil Wears Prada), 25; Alice Braga (I Am Legend), 24; Zoe Saldana (Vantage Point), 29; Elizabeth Banks (The 40 Year-Old Virgin), 33; and Ginnifer Goodwin (Big Love), 29. The March cover, whose theme is fresh faces of Hollywood in 2008, was shot by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz in two seatings: the four on the cover with the Vanity Fair logo together, and then the remaining six. Clothing from Dior by John Galliano was designed exclusively for the shoot.

Check out your first sneak peek at Nicole Kidman’s upcoming Vogue photoshoot with photographer extradonaire Annie Leibovitz.
The session was shot west of Sydney on a paddock and appears to recreate the setting from her upcoming local epic Australia.
The 40-year-old actress/mum-to-be can be seen standing on a wooden pavilion looking over her shoulder at the camera with her back balanced against a rail.
Nicole dons an elegant long blue dress — typical of her character’s pre-WWII English aristocrat — with a long split in the middle that runs down her leg.
Around 50 workers including make-up artists, set builders and a behind-the-scenes film were seen working on the set.
The Baz Luhrmann-directed Australia co-stars fellow Aussie Hugh Jackman and is due out later this year
