Anthropologie

omg I totally love Anthropologie! I love going in the store it's like I escape to a whole different place but I'm not sure where to? I've kept all the anthropologie catalogs I've ever gotten. I like how they dedicated the last two to Sri Lanka

You're not kidding! I spent 2 hours just 'discovering' little treasures there:blush: I'm def. smitten; I just got the cutest green canvas tote with teal trimming. It's so beautiful. Also I love their 'little sister' Urbn.com but it seems that Anthropologie's things last a lot longer. i think it was at TFS that someone was saying how urbn's jewelry doesn't last that long:innocent:

Surprisingly, I've never bought anything from this store, but I'm definately going to order their catalog! Yay!

still very pretty things though. i loved their stuff from a few seasons back.

hot mom clothes...
that's pretty good...it's definitely aimed at an older costomer...
with a higher price tag to match...;)

glad you guys are enjoying...

Anthropologie is one of my favorite stores and I'm so happy they just opened one 10 mins from my apartment *does a jig*

Recently purchased this and it is more beautiful in person.

I love this store. Most of my posts have something to do with this store. They added these shoes this week but i'am unsure about them. Help me out someone.

Aww that's a pretty top. A while back I bought a denim jacket from there. It's lined and very girly (it has ruffles around the edges) and fitted. But I haven't worn it much since it's too hot to wear a lined jacket right now:lol:

the stuff isnt really my style, but i LOVE the store! Its like entering a whole other world where everything is just perfect and it all matches and eep!

I love the new fall catalog...
so many beautiful things...:flower:

i love looking through their catalog. their accessories always look lovely as do their skirts and tops. i can't help but cut up the catalog to use in my collages though.

i love anthropologie... they have some good basics with a twist, as well as more quirky things. i like that some of their things come in petite sizes though. as for the quality, i find it's quite mixed... some things are decently priced, but there was this cropped cardigan/shrug i was eyeing that i noticed they charge $98 for that's actually around $86 in most other places.

anthropologie i must admit is nice...

but i just wouldn't buy it because i like to buy one expensive piece like a handbag to bring the outfit together...

like my new prada frame bag for over 1000 at saks.

i know....
the prices are definitley inflated...expecially considering the quality...
and i think they are getting higher...$300 shoes??...
i don't remember anthropologie having such pricey accessories before...
but i will also say that i believe the merchandise has also vastly improved...

some of the shoes this season are wonderful...

YES! The shoes  Booties, pumps & flats!! I have two in particular in mind...

They have some great bags as well, but I'm not really in the market for those right now...

I imagine Meow's jaw on the floor after that comment  Handbag Queen :king:

I'm glad this thread has been brought back to life. :)

I really love their pieces, but for some reason, I'm not super impressed with their fall collection like most are. Perhaps because a lot of the styles and cuts simply aren't flattering on my frame, so they don't particularly appeal to me. But even that fact aside, I find some of the items just so/so...

But I have to say, I'm in love with this:

ooooh, very spidery!!! :woot:

I was just in there yesterday & I thought their stuff really looked good this season. I have noticed a bit of a quality issue in the past--some of the knit tops, for example, the quality is just sleazy and they're not that cheap either. The only quality issues I noticed this time were with the frayed edges--some had balls of tangled threads hanging from them.

The shoes are pricey, esp for mostly brands you've never heard of, but many of them do have a lot of detail. They had a gorgeous pair of brocade ballets with a jeweled velvet ribbon tie and 3 little brooches across the toe. The jewels looked very vintage. Something like $365. That's a lot for a shoe where the basic structure is unlined fabric on a completely flat sole ... i.e., you're not paying for any infrastructure, lasts, etc.--something I think is well worth paying for because of comfort and the contribution to the ultimate health of your feet so you don't end up in something like SAS decades from now ... [shudder] I was just looking at my mom's feet the other night ... those 60s shoes were nothing short of vicious. Some women had their baby toes removed ... wonder how they feel about it now. (Apologies for the OT musings--if you had seen her feet you would understand  ;) )
