Apple's iPhone

well.. i am going to switch from blackberry to iphone. and i am pretty scared cause in my country iphone's are not working as properly as in usa for instance. there are some difficulties, i am not yet familiar with them.

anyway. my iphone arrives on monday so i am curious as hell how its going to work.. thumbs up!

olga you'll be pleasantly surprised, the phone's awesome, safari works great, apps are great, plus it's an ipod. it's really just the best phone out there

I dont like the fact that the iphone doesnt have a keyboard. I hate typing on the touch screen. I sms a lot.

I have the ipod touch... it has everything that the iphone has .. email, safari, etc but its not a phone.

this is my third day of using the iphone and i am totally in love with it. there is no problems in my country with it. i looooove it. its immensely helpful and practical.

i even scored some points at my english literature classes where we were discussing wuthering heights and somebody mentioned kate bush's song. the professor was upset that we can't listen to it right now, so i got my iphone out of the pocket and played it on youtube.com. yeah.. no more problems with english literature. ;)

The person that baught my iphone used someone else paypal account or credit card or something and now my paypal account is frozen  So frustrating, good thing I havent shipped it out yet

Man, I really want an iPhone. I have an iPod that I bought like 4 years ago; it's still working but it's all scuffed up. Almost every day I take my cellphone and my ipod with me and it's kind of annoying me really.
The cheapest plan for an iPhone here, is a 2yr contract of $40 a month (including unlimited internet). You guys think this might be a good plan? I pay like $25 a month for my cellphone right now, but I'm moving to a new apartement at the beginning of next year that doesn't have a regular phone, so I think I will call maybe a little more with my cellphone in the future.

I got mine a week ago and a word of advice to anyone getting one: make sure you find out the real price! the guy at at&t told us it was 299$ and my mom repeatedly asked the guy if it cost 299 even though we're still under another contract and he said yes. after all my numbers were transferred over and everything, the phone rang up 500$! my mom had a fit and the guy said because of our contract its 499$. my mom and i were very upset and felt like we had been taken advantage of.
i still love the phone though.

^yea, it's $299 if your current contract is over or if you were to open a new line. like me for instance, i had to wait 3 months for my contract to be over to get it at that price. so i decided to open another line and have a new number and gave my lil sis my old phone. i just couldn't wait 3 more months :ninja: sorry that happened to you, but glad you love it!:flower:

thats not true, I updated my old iphone to the 3G one while my old contract was active and paid only $199 for the new phone itself

you got ripped off

I am so addicted to crash bandicoot on my iphone, I play it on the train on the way home from work all the time and look like a right doofus

You can just extend your current contract. My brother, his wife and I are all on the same contract so our contract is set for 6 years now that we all upgraded

Do you think 8GB will be enough?
My iPod is 8GB.. and thats neally full

I personally dont like to use my iPhone as a music player because its too big compared to the ipod nanos.....when I exercise, I listen to my nano..

if you have both an ipod and an iphone i really wouldnt suggest getting the 16 GB iPhone - it's heavy, expensive, and you probably won't use it for music cause its too big

^ Good point. I was actually intending to use it for music on the bus to college. But I supose my nano is not heavy at all
:flower:

talking about the iPhone, today I received $5 (real green money) in the mail from ATT because I filled out an online survey for the 3G model!!!!!!!!!!

better fill out those surveys cause att will send you CASH :D

now i feel so cheap bragging about $5 lol

I got mine (the 1st gen) last March, and for some reason I haven't used it yet. :innocent:

Is anyone preferring the 2nd gen to the 1st gen or regretting getting the 2nd. Wanted to hear some opinions since I'm still on the 1st gen and wondering whether the switch is worth it.

2nd is almost the same as 1st gen (only the storage was expanded) and is no longer available

3G is what you can upgrade to, and YES it is worth it

everything is much faster and the plastic surface is better to hold in hand

Woops got confused sorry I meant 3G. Glad I noted it down for xmas. The 1st gen has been good to me but I think I'll go through with the upgrade.
