Armpit hair: gross or sexy?

My philosophy on the matter is that its an individual's choice. If you wanna do it, go for it.

I can't stand it though for myself. Not even for aesthetic reasons, but more because if I even go two days w/o shaving (you know in the winter when no one will see) It just gets uncomfortable. I perfer the feeling a smooth armpit

i always pluck/tweeze my armpit hairs so my armpits are always clean and i dont have ingrown hairs.

In my book -body hair=virility- so if I see a woman with hair on her legs or armpits I immediately associate her with a man, or an hybrid.


hairy men are ok, hairy woman are a turn off.

hairy armpits and legs are gross for women and besides it's uncomfortable. i don't like overly hairy men either. this is kind of an odd question but does armpit hair make your underarms sweat less? becuase there was this one time i got a really bad razor burn and i couldn't shave for a few days and i didn't sweat as much as i usually do (i know, gross story). but i guess it was there for some reason. so does anyone know?

I think it depends on the in individual's body. When I'm a week late for a wax I sweat a lot more then when I'm hair free. But it could have something to do with the deodorant sticking to the skin more and not sticking to hair.

I don't like armpit hair on me so I shave them. But if a woman feels comfortable exposing unshaved armpits then it's not a big deal to me. It's a matter of personal choice.

I'm not used to seeing women with hairy armpits, worked at a festival not too long ago and saw more hairy armpits on women than I've probably seen in my life. hah I must leed a sheltered life or something. Anyhow I don't really care about it on other but aesthetically I'd with gross rather than sexy, especially on women.

I was in the shower yesterday scrubbin' under me pits and I almost felt a twinge of - gasp - satisfaction at the hair under there. Not to say there isn't something for a shaved pit. But perhaps it has to do with upbringing? When I was growing up with my mother and sister, both significantly older than me (for my mother, I would be worried if she wasn't), I would always notice that they had under arm hair and it marked a distinction between them and me. I always looked up to them and thought especially how beautiful my sister was. So I suppose now I associate that memory of two very strong beautiful women with being more 'natural' I guess...and that's why I'm not grossed out by it.

^^im not grossed out by it either...i just dont like it...but every girl/woman should decide on her own...when i see a girl/woman with armpit hair i think its weird but i also think its kinda brave to not shave it...altho i couldnt imagine NOT shaving it

Whenever I haven't shaved in a while I sweat more. Since I figured that out, I make sure to shave more often. I think it's because the hair blocked my deodorant from reaching my skin. But you could experiment and see if it happens again I guess.

If you have a punk type look, some hair can be okay. But generally it looks a bit creepy on high maintenence women.

I'm jealous! I wish all my body hair grew as slow as that. I have to shave under my arms every morning as it has already grown long enough to be noticeable when I wake up. Same with all other body hair... I take ages getting ready during summer because of how fast my damn leg hairs grow.
