You know the fluro kids..well that's moved to London now and they're calling it new rave haha !

Any new summer trends ?

I hate fluro!

I've seen girls with plastic fluro bangle things, fluro hair ribbons, Dunlop Volleys coloured in with fluro highlighters or something, t-shirts with prints like this:

oh don't think it's influenced just by preset tee's. i don't think Electro has anything to do with the whole fluro thing.

Me mate started wearing all this fluro pink stuff from diva teamed up with leopard print anything and a mullet on her head. she's one of those hardcore thrashy types with one of those annoying piercings you just want to yank out.

But all her mates dress the same too!. so i think this wee craze might come from the hardcore/emo side of things. i have seen a fair lot of emo's wear bright pink skinnys at the moment teamed up with obviously a whole lot of black of course!

My friend LOVES a black t-shirt with fluro design...at first she wore it once it looked fine...I didn't care and now she has so many of them it's making me sick and blinded from the colour! >_<

I hate fluoro and those sweatbands guys wear around their heads. Yuck.

Would wearing a trilby or fedora be a huge no-no? I want to get one, and I think I suit them well, but I don't wanna look like an idiot. Btw I am a girl from Melbourne.

I think that if you look good in a trilby or fedora then definately go for it. I look awful in hats but if i didn't i would wear them.

The Presets I love them !

Anyway I found the McCall dimple dress in a little boutique today I got just a little bit excited. I wish the trend for pinafores would translate onto the highstreet here although they are quite easy to make.

I PM'd you ApertureRomance ;)

I went to target the other day (pronounced tar-jaye) :P heh
I went there for those new rimmel makeup packs.
Anyways i noticed that targets really getting quite fashionable.

i also went to cue and some of their dresses on the rack look beautiful and tailored. put it on, it looks like fashion inspired by the homeless! hehe

I just wish i could find a dress that wouldn't make me look so boxy. Every store i go to for a dress it's all Waist! Waist! Waist! but what happens if like many women. You don't have a waist theres no other styles too choose from. I think australian stores should get with the program!

i can't afford to buy harry who dresses all the time! :P

It's really interesting seeing street style from all over the world. One of the things I've noticed about Australian street style, is that the people photographed often look like they're really trying hard. The people in those first five pics are dressed horribly in my opinion - the remaining three guys aren't too bad though. In fact, the girl with the white bag isn't too bad either.

Thanks for the pics, chip. They're interesting. =)

^^ I agree, a lot of people seem to go so far to look quirky and original that their outfits become eyesores. But a lot of people look really well dressed too.

Personally, I think that Australian street style can be really bad at times, which says alot I guess since I am Australian. I just think that being original and unique has become a 'trend' in itself, and that people take it too far to an extent where they are just a pain to look at, like Twill Bill mentioned.

^:D
Does anyone know where I can find a silver chain necklace with a lot of pendants piled onto it? My budget is about $15-$20. Preferably from a chainstore. =] Thanks.

Have you tried diva, equip, sportsgirl or gloss?
They're around the $20 mark or less

I'd say your best bet would be Diva. They had lots of long chain things last time I was in there.

I like that 2nd last girl's dress :) Except she's spilt something on it!! She doesn't look forced like some other photos here.
