AZ Factory S/S 2021 Paris

he's always had a slightly tacky taste, which was fine in combination with the fabrics and the finishings and also in the context of it being lanvin
i wasn't expecting much though, he hardly evolved in the last 5 years at lanvin and it seems he's still stuck there

I am curious about the price range.

Farfetch has some of the clothes on their website, just the most basic ones. The prices range between 245 for a simple sleeveless body to a 1200 euros dress. The hideous shoes are 455.

I don't understand any of this.

I find it almost offensively lazy and foreseeable to pair your luxury yoga clothes with a big skirt or to throw a blazer on top of that and consider that what women today are wearing. The fact that none of the woven fabric pieces are showing up elsewhere shows me that it's really all about the athleisure stuff and the rest is more to give it some fashion credibility.

This is a line that could have been 'Alber Elbaz x Adidas' but as his long anticipated namesake brand, it's looking incredibly underwhelming.

I love all the people saying ‘it’s Lanvin’....

Lanvin has had 500 creative directors with absolutely no though thread of an aesthetic.

Lanvin was melded into Alber’s Aesthetic, so this is just his style! You can’t expect anything else. It’s a nice easy collection, the video is horrendous haha.

Now Alber's brand is in the limelight, when will Richemont present Phoebe Philo's collection?...

OFC this collection is aim to ecommerce...
The pointy sneakers...are the ugly sneakers still a thing?
Love the jewerly tho

Just checked the stuff out on Farfetch. For all the talk of new and different ways of doing things it basically just looks like the most obvious CashGrab of a collection, all product and no soul. That wouldn't be a problem per se, it's just a tad underwhelming, if not to say disappointing.

I may be in the minority, but I'm going cut him a lot of slack here. He's, basically, starting from scratch, during a pandemic. Resources seem limited, so this is the end-result. Lackluster, yes, but not totally inconceivable to me.

I also really loved his last collection at Lanvin, which nobody else did, so...there's that.

count me in. I find that collection quite gorgeous to be honest. Not as good as SS 2015 but after all these fiascos at the brand, you can’t deny that it actually is very Lanvin in terms of proposition and energy.

Being a big Alber fan, at first I was extremely disappointing by this collection but I understand your point @eugenius . I hope that he slowly moves out of this sportswear/streetwear aesthetic and goes back to the architectural work he was doing at Lanvin.
