The video is even more shocking...the poor boy is still a child! He doesn't even know what 'financially' means...in which the girl laughs at him...and I don't see them being an item at all...

These kids make the high school couples who are "so in love" and decide to keep their babies look like the responsible ones.

He looks like he's about 7 years old. He clearly hasn't even hit puberty yet.

It's **** like those awful Calvin Klien ads that cause things like this. Seeing young people in the media treating sex as something casual or peril-less causes this kind of stuff to go down. The media is equally to blame, if not more than lack of proper sex education. Everytime I see those awful ads or see something like Skins which you know 11 year old are watching, I think "this is so irresponsible" and it's naive to think it doesn't influence younger kids just cuz it's shown after nine, as if they're in bed! There's a 15 year old mother at my school who was politely asked to leave because of the example she'd set to the other girls.

Were they taught anything at all about this? They don't seem to see that there's something wrong with this and he doesn't sound like he understands what this means at all. They make it sound like they wanted a baby the way someone wants a bicycle.

yeah but many kids start having sex at 12-13, Im from Sweden and I remember going to junior high kids were sexually active and one girl that I knew became pregnant at age 13 and walked around with a huge belly at school. She didnt drop out or anything she has actually finished high school and all, so you still can make a great life for yourself even if things like this happen. I don't think the media are to blame more than sex ed..
We weren't taught about sex until we were 13..and most of us had seen some sort of programme or movie with a sex scene in it but we weren't going around getting pregnant. Although it is happening more than before, it's still not extremely common for a 13/14/15 year old having a baby.
The media have always had provocative adverts..so I don't see how it's to blame for teen pregnancies now when there were those ads back in the 70s and not as many teen pregnancies.

Some people are gonna have sex when they hit puberty, doesnt matter what the media does. Your body tells you when its ready. Parents just need to tell kids to protect themselves. I remember we had sex education in 5th grade and I think it was great. We got to learn alot that our parents were not telling us.

i heard him talk about it all and he seriously doesnt even know what is going on. at one point hes being asked about how he will cope financially and he said "whats that?" that even his so called girlfriend laughed.

I cannot fathom this. I mean, I am barely into my 20's, yet when I was that age, most people weren't even kissing let alone "doing it"! They had better have some darned good support from their parents, because they won't make it on their own. I don't even think the couple will last more than a couple more years.
