UK Harper's Bazaar Digital Edition

Chu Wong is having a great season: Balenciaga, Hermès, Stella

I like it... I love all the clothes that the girl is wearing... whatever you say about Demna's Balenciaga, one thing is quite clear, he certainly managed to make it dramatically distinctive... I can only think of two brands who have such a strong identity at the moment, Gucci and Balenciaga, and that's been the case for quite a few years now.

Thank god those couples, dressed like that doesn’t exist in real life. What a miserable and depressing place Paris would be if it was the case....( keep In mind that it’s not a very joyful city in the first place).

^hahahahahahah honestly around Republique and then the 10th people are pseudo like that @Lola701 . That's where Ritual Projects is based too (Press agency handling Vetements, Y Project, etc).

I wish someday the clothes of this brand would be as cheap as it’s campaign
If this ain't the truth...

I mean, how can you be a supposedly luxury brand and do not invest in a better background, art direction, styling, photography, lighting, post-production editing, etc etc. It's like, give me expensive clothes and I'll pose in a cute location for my instagram and it'd be better than this .

Unless, you know, this is what they were looking for. I don't get it though. You could do something without having to expend that much and still getting it done nicely. That first picture looks so pedestrian and no, Balenciaga, you are not relatable to the young ones, your clothes still costs a liver. Don't try it.

I'm usually quite a fan of their campaigns but this just feels dull. It looks more a like a lookbook to me.

Ysaunny is such a refreshing surprise, love the chemistry in it.

Is that Ysaunny in the black suit!?! Wow, didn't even recognise her. She looks even more gorgeous now. What happened to her career though (rhetorical question.)

^Which only proves how tasteless this generation is. The whole transformation of the brand, from Cristóbal to Demna perfectly mirrors the death of high fashion through decades. Hopeully, 2020s will bring a revival high fashion desparately needs.

Not sure about all of the comments re: no one dresses like this in real life. If I walk anywhere below 25th in Manhattan this is all I see :innocent:

A lot of Scandinavians dress like this too. It's one thing to dislike what has happened with Balenciaga, but for people to say that no one dresses like this or that no one is buying the clothes is hilarious.
