Balmain F/W 11.12 Paris

better than last season but those white boots are just awful.

Boring, Tired, Uninteresting, some "OK" pieces and others are awful...no comments on those boots! There needs to be a major shakeup in the fashion industry...

this is so bad. every season this label falls more and more. understand, why Decarnin didn´t show there after presentation. Probably he realized how crappy collection it is.

This was laughable, I mean really? Really?! This was, well it wast terrible there were a few pieces to die for like

Awful! The worst collection I have seen from Balmain in years! Truly terrible. It's just like everything we've seen from Balmain, but blander and more crudely done. Balmain needs a new designer pronto...

Wow, I think it's actually better than many Balmain collections we have seen in recent seasons. That's not saying much... but still! Some of this at least looks salvageable, and not quite as trashy. I actually like the way the tanks are cut, love them paired with a blazer on top. I don't love it, or even like it, but it's a baby step in the right direction for me.

It's not bad, although admittedly after last season my expectations are lower, but as was commented on last season, why were evening gowns not part of the collection? I think that if five or so evening gowns had been at the end, and I can see the template for evening gowns in some of the daywear looks, then the collection would not look so repetitive, inert and styled (as opposed to designed). And even if the collection was criticized for being repetitive and styled, at least in my mind I can say that that choices were made to serve Balmain's existing customer base.

I suspect that Balmain's customers are not the loyal type and will defect when the next hot designers are anointed, Rick Owens and Julien McDonald are my nominees, so the house needs to do step it up if it wants to hold onto its position as one of the designers of choice for high end label whores.

I missed so much the signature Balmain embellished mini dresses!

Uh oh
I'm not loving this.I'm not saying it's not nice, but it's not my thing.
Who designed this?
I really wasn't expecting something new or innovative from Decarnin ,but this isn't very pleasant to the eye or cool & egdy like his usual collections.
Too minimalistic,very simple.
Nice cuts, but the prints and fabrics and colors are extremely boring.

So uninspired...
Some of the dresses were fine, jackets too... But all in all, I'm dissapointed.

I thought things couldn't get worse. but in fact, they could. WHITE BOOTS?

is it me or is it getting worse and worse every season:doh:, not only Decarin is extremely repetitive (I have a feeling I have seen the same collection for like the last 5 seasons:blink:), but the pieces get more and more trashy, they do not fit, they look like they are poorly made, I do not feel like there has been put any effort in creating this collection, so awful grrr :yuk:

well now we know why this colection looked soo weird....Chris wasn't even involved lol
Should've known when we didn't see a power shoulder

Yep you nailed it ! I also think this collection is an improvement , especially compared to the khaki collection, and less trashy. I'm not completely fond if it but there are some nice pieces.
