Balmain F/W 2008.09 Paris

I need to see the whole thing, though. I can't condone too much trash at Balmain.

That's an interesting double standard, cause you can be damn sure that if the Italians did trashy, tacky and sl*tty now, people would still hate it...

I just figured it was because Balmain shows in Paris, so it's immediately chic.

looking at a few more pieces, i feel that the collection will be pretty hit or miss for me. the longer dresses and a couple of the shorter ones are really lovely, but the zebra print, leopard print and leather pant seem really tacky...

I don't like what I've seen so far. The dresses are beautiful and I like that he's injected a rocker vibe into the collection but so far, it seems kind of trashy. Hope I can change my mind because I usually like Balmain....
