Balmain S/S 2008 : Daria Werbowy by Inez & Vinoodh

i think this case is rather interesting in terms of how the Balmain brand is to be accepted and interpreted. they're trying to work out the new image for the label, something Ungaro under Peter Dundas was going through - all about beautiful dresses for young rich leggy girls. i find it extremely curious to see how far that will take them.

Oh? This is not really what the aesthetic that I have come to associate with Balmain as of late. I hate to judge a campaign based on just one image, but right now it looks very Victoria's Secret.

Last season with Natasha poly, there was just one image... I'm thinking that it might be the same for this season.

i still don't like the pic at all. i don't like it when they try to make *my* cool daria look hot. that's beyond her versality and she loses herself as a model.
