Still not sold on the pink dress (I prefer the black version) but that denim jacket is gorgeous. I hate to admit that I am so excited to see the evolution of Balmain..
people seemed to go crazy with the 80s review that Cristophe is doing for Balmain. I just find it too obvious and not exciting at all. I like the accessories though. Have you noticed the prices? They all cost around 10.000 pounds. What crisis?

The jackets, bondage dresses, pants all look like model street wear with a big portion of glamour. I love it. Anna S really captures the labels essence. I'm expecting to see Lara S in alot of Balmain in her Paris Vogue issue because their doing a shoot inspired by Brigitte Bardot's "And God Created Women" in which she wore costumes designed by Pierre.
Oh, I hope so. When it comes to Balmain, I'd never be able to buy it, I'd never be able to wear it, but I love the sight of it, and Paris Vogue will know exactly how to use these pieces.
Believe me, if it is overpriced, then you should be asking yourself, "is it really worth it"?
I mean Balmain has nice clothing, but be careful about your spending for this. Seems more like a celebrity type of wear.
this collection ain't no middle class fair which probably explains the onslaught of negative commentary around this forum. decarnin leads the pack of designers that includes christopher kane and alexander wang. the jackets in this collection have easily replaced the chanel boucle models for power dressing. the jeans in this collection have put denim back on the map. and no one does a mini-dress like decarnin.
and as far as dressing real women, there isn't a collection on the market right now that wouldn't kill for the type of retail numbers this re-vamped brand has racked up in just a couple of years.
