Re: Finding Devon generic. I guess if she were entirely Caucasian, she could've been called exotic. But she's half-Asian, and a lot of Asian girls have that look. As for Lily... she's the archetype of generic, IMO. Blonde, blue eyed, tall, slim, with perfectly symmetrical and perfectly pretty features. There's not a whit of elusiveness or mystique about her looks. I mean, there would've been countless women like Lily till now. It's the same with Toni and Vlada and all the other dolls.
Another thing is that models especially are all very young. Except the ones that make it big, we don't really get to see how a model 'ages'. They're all so young when they start off when they're 15-16 and their careers are over by the time they are in their early twenties, and save an ed or two which are few and far between, we don't see them much in their thirties and forties. Some women turn more beautiful as they age, and some beauties lose all the vestiges of their beauty when they hit 40 or thereabouts. In my book, a truly beautiful woman, one whose beauty warrants a mention in this thread, should be beautiful at all ages, and not only in her adolescence.
Like I said, I find it well-nigh impossible to anoint a celebrity/model/actress/socialite the most beautiful woman of all time, the corollary of which implies that we're only taking into consideration the designer-clad glitterati, quite a few of them not so much bona fide than a product of media scrutiny and hype and overexposure (Cheryl Cole immediately comes to mind). I do find a lot of them unconscionably pretty, and some even truly beautiful (Gene, for instance) but I wouldn't go as far as to single out the ONE.
