I love the whole mad Flamenco Gypsy theme in Gaultier's s/s 05 collection.
i had completely forgotten about gaultier! the force-fit of those tight pieces over those flouncy skirts is so so so so boho and avant garde. :flower:

Maybe I need to expand my perception of what Boho covers.. because some of the pictures posted aren't what I would associate with Boho.

it is so much harder for men to pull of boho...it so quickly can become cheesy or nerdy or foolish.

lol softie, you know where to go. im going to bombay in a few weeks so will be picking up some stuff there. i didn't really like any of the kurtas in that site-i prefer long sleeved ones.

lucky you... :woot: :flower:

hanne which ones are you referring to...?..
maybe the more gypsy inspired things?...
or is it that white balenciaga bubble dress?...i would say those things are borderline for me... :innocent: spike and mike seem to have a different interpretation of the look than i do...perhaps it's a femme/homme thing?...

i think if it more in the way the sweetest posted in those gorgeous chloe looks...
less cha cha... ^_^ ...although i love cha cha too...

I think there is a fine line between bohemian, hippy and grunge.

Predominantly the ones posted by Mike  ..Sorry Mike,..as I said it's probably me who needs to broaden my way of looking at Boho..or as you say Softie..just another perspective. :flower:

Yes I posted the Blumarine stuff..very hippy-boho ..I loved it..my husband :yuk: it.

You probably allready know this danish label Softie : http://www.bruunsbazaar.com I allways thought they had a lot of Boho feel to them.

Hanne I used to buy things at Bruuns Bazaar - but you can't get it over here anymore (it used to be stocked in whistles but its gone way downhill since it was bought by Karen Millen). I really liked it - yes very floaty boho. They had a shop in Paris that i used to visit when I was there but its shut now - glad to see its still going. Is Day Birger not from Denmark too?

They are still very much going strong...atleast in Denmark... Last I recalled seeing the label in London was in Selfridges..they might still carry it  ..no..just checked Selfridges url..

Day & Night by Birger is also Danish http://www.day.dk/
as well as Malene Birger http://www.bymalenebirger.com/
who was the designer who really made a difference to the label..she has now gone solo..I've seen her stuff featured in Br. Vogue (She believes in smaller quantities of her designs..where Day is more mass orientated)

I should probably check if there is a Danish Designers thread..^_^
