just a tip: i was at my local library and i noticed the librarians doing this, they would push the smaller sized books forward to make them all even in the front. so i went home and tried it, and it makes it look so much better. do other ppl know about this?

^ that room is too rigid for my tastes....nothing cosy or inviting about it....although i do love those 2 chairs on the left and i'm sure with the fireplace in the winter it is much cosier....

I like the idea of wood paneling in a library ... I notice that one has very few actual books tho. I love the way floor to ceiling books look, but I find that I hate to have books out of reach. A 6 foot bookcase works pretty well for me ...

oh i didn't know that was a special technique lol
sometimes i put small books in between big ones too because it just stands up better.. so there isn't all that tension if you put them all at the front

I think it's in his house because the skylight looks familiar, but it might be at the 7L bookshop?

Nope, it's always the same one, but it's available in different colours.
