Bottega Veneta Bags

I also think for example a Vuitton print is easier to copy than a woven bag and who (like the average woman in the street) wants a fake woven bag with no logos?? I don't think it will become a huge trend and if they're getting copied and sold on the street they will be replaced by another Vuitton print very quickly...

my point is that a well made bag will make you happy -- isn't that all that matters?? I have several and just the smell of them is worth the $$.

you're so right:flower:

Hahahah...I definitely agree with you on the smell.
The smell of my bag makes me high sometimes honestly..it smells the best among all my bags.

I think BV empitomizes under-stated chic and it's quality would really be hard to replicate. I have seen other woven leather bags before and they just don't feel (nor smell :D ) the same.

i def. want to get this bag in bottega veneta nyc, which SA do you recommend? and does anyone know how should I call this style? thanks^_^

Actually there are tons of woven leather bags with no logos at Kmart, Targets, Marshall's, Macy's and ...but they are truly hedious so I don't think people will mistake your BV for those...

i second that..i love BV's leather... :D i own a red boho and some cute wallets.

Oh btw i remember Dooney used to make woven leather bags (I think I saw it in Marie Claire before)..they are quite nice too. If you don't wan to spend $5000 on BV you should see if you can find the DB version :flower:

I guess the one that you like would be called the intrecciato leather bag with grommets?

While the traditional ones would be termed just the intrecciato. :flower:

if you go to azaleasf.com they have woven hobo bags that look alot like bottegas for about 100something

I recently bought a fake Bottega Veneta bag off of ebay (unwittingly, since I was unaware that BV fakes existed), but once I got the bag I could tell immediately. The leather quality was a dead giveaway, but even worse was the fake suede lining. Anyway, before you attempt to buy a Bottega Veneta bag off of ebay, it is important to go and see a real BV in person. That way, you will come to know the quality of the leather first hand. Once you feel BV leather in real life, it is hard to be duped by a fake.

P.S. Luckily, I was able to get my money back.
