baghag21, Which grommet intrecciatos were you talking about? I saw a Intrecciato Napa Grommet Veneta on NM, it said the bag is in napa.

Yes, the same as those on NM and the BV website. In red, gold and white. Having surfed the web on the intrecciato grommet veneta bags, where there was hardly any mention of deer skin, I'm inclined to think that the SA may have misinformed me... Could be napa but the supposed deer skin leather felt softer and thicker than the napa. Also it looked a little more textured, very slight, but still visible...

Having said that it was gorgeous...

I'm thinking of the I-grommet Gold dust suede veneta...OR should I just get the a large classic intrecciato hobo (called cabat??) in brown??

would love a woven bag in deerskin. I'm surprised they can do it since deerskin is so thick. baghag21, any idea where we can get the deerskin grommet bags? the only ones I've seen are napa.

Hmmmm...I've seen only napa on the web too. But the SA was very confident it was deer skin as she was telling me that the deer skin leather ones were more worth it than the gold dust one as the gold was only in suede while the other one (deer skin) was an "exotic skin"...

Will give them a call again to find out more....

baghag, the large brown intrecciato will be a very practical choice..if you are loooking for a great everyday bag, this is it!

However, I have to play devil's advocate this time....I personally think the gold intrecciato is gorgeous! Soft, shimmery.....not as large as the brown one, but are you the type that lugs around a kitchen sink all the time?

yup all lined in suede, unless its the cabat which is both sides leather.

almost all are lined in suede except for certain pieces which are lined with the same leather as the exterior of the bag (rare though).

it is the small cabat and it's *only" $4000. right now it comes in black, dark brown, camel (but I think this color is totally sold out) and I believe orange. it's not that small though -- I think it's like 17" wide.

except for my one *special" bag (which is lined in red leather), all of my bvs are lined in suede. but the older, non-leather bags (the marco polo line and the fabric) might be lined in fabric.

Singapore BV has the small cabat. Did not enquire about the price but vaguely heard the SA informing another customer...could not recall if it cost that much.

SA informed that the small cabat was only available in the Asian market. Think her info and the Grommet/Deer skin info is serious misinformation!!!! Hmmmm...they need to do something about that....

Anyway, they had the small cabat in brown and black....
