i was seriously consideing that exotic patch bag- its a limited edition and 3K, but i changed my mind and got a double flap over snakeskin one for half that- sort of a male devi kreol.

i would reccommend the first messenger- i have it it black and brown and they are a great everday size and age really well- although the seam at the top is starting to crack so be warned.

I'm not a big BV fan but I saw a lovely taupe/dark green crocodile BV bag in Geneva. The softest croc leather I've ever felt. It was selling for the equivalent of US$14,000.

Yes, the same as those on NM and the BV website. In red, gold and white. Having surfed the web on the intrecciato grommet veneta bags, where there was hardly any mention of deer skin, I'm inclined to think that the SA may have misinformed me... Could be napa but the supposed deer skin leather felt softer and thicker than the napa. Also it looked a little more textured, very slight, but still visible...

Having said that it was gorgeous...

I'm thinking of the I-grommet Gold dust suede veneta...OR should I just get the a large classic intrecciato hobo (called cabat??) in brown??

I just saw a few of the deer bags and compared it with the regular napa (same color for both, white) and I really couldn't tell the difference. The bags felt equally soft so I don't know that the higher price of the deer would be worth it.

i was under the impression most of the intrecciagto bags were made of deerskin- it really does age better than napa. by the way- has anyone else noticed bv is no longer listed online at saks or nm?

i think it's cause they listed all of their summer and spring merchandise on sale and the prefall or fall haven't come in yet... i know i saw the spring and summer BV merchandise at saks online on sale a few days ago

I have a couple of the regular woven hobos and they are napa. the ones with grommets (which I don't think they're making anymore) are in deerskin and I found the difference quite noticeable. the deerskin is thicker, has a visible grain and I think will be a little more durable than the napa.

no. I've only seen it in black, white, camel, dark brown, khaki and red.

it's not impossible (though I find it unlikely) that the regular non-grommeted veneta came in pink. I have never seen the grommeted veneta (which is the style that olsen twin in the picture has) in pink.

ok thx =) yeah i was weirded out at first bc ive never seen a bv bag in that color but it looked real. thx though. it was a really light pink, almost white w/ a shade of pink.
