I've seen Superman Returns a few times now. I am a bit of a comic book movie fan even though I don't read the books they're based on. Strange, I know.
Anyway, I have generally been more of a Batman chick up to now. But I talked my husband into letting me go and see this new Superman movie with he and a friend, and I totally fell for Routh. He's so cute as Clark and Superman. He doesn't look like a 26-year-old to me, so he may appear a little young for these roles. I completely agree with the statement that he's got a kind of "Bale-as-Patrick-Bateman" thing going on - almost too pretty and too perfect. But I occasionally go for that.
After seeing SR - I decided to go back and watch Superman: The Movie, Superman II and III - now I'm also into Christopher Reeve. It may not be appropriate to comment on his looks since he is no longer with us, but wow....what a person.

So, both Routh and Reeve are okay in my book as Supes. Now if only Superman were for real....

but for every time i saw it again brandon still made me weak in the knees

i also have to see the original superman movies too! after hearing the originals were still better and i loved the new one

...and yeah in a perfect world we'd have BOTH superman and spiderman

Hello! I am fortunate in that my husband loves comics-related stuff and he still buys Superman books and Wizard magazine at the age of 26. If it weren't for him I probably wouldn't have even known much about the new Superman movie. He has the first three well-known films on video (featuring Mr. C. Reeve), a very old movie from the '50s starring George Reeves, a Superman animated series from the '90s, a new documentary type thing to coincide with the release of SR, plus he used to watch Smallville until it turned all relationship-y. We're Super-geeks, basically. I had to buy a Superman logo t-shirt on the weekend to profess my love.....also, now I don't have to keep wearing Dave's shirt.

I hope that you enjoy the other movies. Personally, I have a bit of a soft spot for #3 with Lana Lang (played by Annette O'Toole).

It seems that some guys are wondering why tons of women are all hung up on him. They say he's just a normal-looking dude. I guess that's true to a degree. Works for me, in any case.

Also, I've recently realized that there is someone that has been coming to the place where I've just started working that sort of resembles Mr. Routh. I had a feeling of recognition when I saw this photo in particular:

The man I'm speaking of is a little more......round. But I believe the facial resemblance is there. Next time I see him I'll take a closer look.

Boy, I'm glad that I ended up seeing superman. He's very attractive in the movie. on intereviews and candids...not so much. I think I'm attracted to him much more when he doesn't smile. He's so hot when he doesn't smile. And I will admit, I'm totally jealous of his gf. She's got a cute guy with a ginormous package. What else could a girl ask for?

Well I just finished watching Superman, I was not impressed with the story line at all, but I actually think Brandon was adorable in the movie. Umm.... he's polite, tall and handsome..... he looks just like superman (a little young though)!

Besides, I just have to say he looks cute even when he's sleeping (noticed that he has long eyelashes). Beautiful man!!

Hoho.... I really like dark haired guys with blue eyes, and I can't agree more that Branddon IS look better with blue eyes .

Really, he's very good-looking man, but he's deffinately not hot or sexy, i dunno why, he's just not.

I prefer him with blue eyes as well, I think he's cute but yeah I don't really see him as sexy in most pics. But there's a couple in his GQ Uk spread that he looks hot!!

Accord ing to the Daily Mail, Routh was furious after he saw pictures of himself and co- star Kate Bosworth posing at the junket, and said the makeup he had on "made him look pale, artificial and 'a bit wimpy.' " Routh's aides had new darker foundation flown in for him to use in time for Thurs day night's premiere in Leicester Square. "To say that Brandon was livid with his makeup is an understatement," an aide told the paper.
