^ they're absolutely gorgeous  thanks ! I literally gasped when I saw them on ebay yesterday

So now, as promised, a quick "BB style evolution" post

Her late 50s style :

That's the one I don't really know how to describe..I'd say it's sometimes very 50s and feminine (i.e = circle dresses, petticoats), especially for events

...but her daily style was more casual and modern (skinny jeans, t-shirts, simple dress..). All in all, rather classic and unfussy.

Early 60s (1960-1964)

Brigitte's "Baby doll" era. Think bows, beehive, ribbons, cutesy. Quite chic, it is sometimes very youthful, lolita like and sometimes more bourgeois.

Mid 60s (1964-1966)

As Brigitte enters her thirties, it's a sort of transition period. Between her "cute" and her "sleek" era, it's a mix of both. Meanwhile, she adopts a new hairstyle circa 1965, smooth and glossy, occasionally with bangs. I dunno, this style is a bit hard to describe too, since there are less candids of her (no movies in 1964 + she spent a lot of time in Latin America, with less paparazzi).

The 'Gunter Sachs era' (1966-1968)

. They were a very well dressed couple. Brigitte's style remains sleek, and very elegant. She's very much into men suits, Gunter loved to see her in suits. I think his jet-set lifestyle definitely shows on BB's style during that era.

1967- early 70s

There are two main tendencies in Brigitte's style in that period : on the one hand it gets sexier and edgier (more leather, knee-high boots, very short dresses/skirts).

On the other hand, Brigitte develops a great fondness for the boho/gypsy style, which she will wear during most of the 70s.

^ I'd never seen the 1st one , thanks ! ^_^

You're welcome guys, I'm glad you like it :D Now what I'd like to know :p..what's your favorite style/era ?

My favorite era is that of 60s and 70s, I truly love her style from that period and I love her hairdo and make-up from that time. Actually when I think of her, I usually see her with long, straight hair, wearing something simple like sweater and tight jeans, since in fact her looks from 50s don't impress me that much.

I'm always dying to see pictures of "efortless" Brigitte, dressed simply and casually, with straight hair and emphasized eyes.

Yeah I love that era too, in her 30s, she was really stylish, trendy yet effortless, sexy but casual..Brigitte said that she didn't know how to dress in her 20s (I disagree though!) and back then would rather wear simple clothes like jeans and t-shirts..I don't know what era I prefer it's hard to choose !
I love them all, but my least favorite might be the mid 60s period, the clothes sometimes don't look very flattering and slightly dowdy.

She is really underrated as a style icon.

The early 60s, although I also like her very much in the late 50s.

So doll like.

^ yes her early 60s style is so lovely  and it might be the style people remember most about her..Probably my favourite too, by a narrow margin though because I love her late 60s and late 50s style too. Damn Brigitte, you make it hard to choose

So true ! She is mentioned but not enough..BB is a timeless style icon, very ahead of her time. I also love the fact that she was totally carefree about fashion. She didn't give a damn about it and said that she didn't know how to dress..She just had an innate sense of style and -as in all other areas of her life- she never tried to comply to the rules, she didn't dress to impress, she just wore something comfortable, true to her style, feminine and flattering, and it worked ^_^
