gorgeous stills from Contemps, thanks ! :D

The last photoshoot was for english magazine Picture Post, published in March 1954 or 1956 depending on the sources. The second picture CielDeLit posted graced the cover so I tend to believe the magazine was published in 1956 after the success of Et Dieu Créa la Femme.
And just because her boyfriends weren't the most handsome men doesn't mean she had bad taste, just that she wasn't shallow. :P

But she did care about looks, she found them very good-looking. We just have different tastes ! :P
Especially when she dated a series of much younger men -virtually gigolos- in the late 60s and early 70s..I'm thinking about Patrick Gilles in particular. He showed little interest in her, and even hit her, but she stayed because she was physically very attracted to him.

Oh yeah I have that magazine cover, it's March 1956 indeed !

Ergh, how awful to think that BB ever was with a man that abused her like Patrick Gilles did! That's far worse than simply being god-awful homely (Vadim), being a bad director (Vadim again), and being a scandalous play-boy (Gunter.) Poor BB never had much luck with men, huh?

I think her best looking man was definitely Jacques Charrier-- as a couple, they actually kind of remind me of a sexed up Don and Betty Draper-- the perfect topper on a wedding cake! I have no idea what their relationship was like but they certainly looked good together.

And thanks for the lovely pics, Ciel, and the id, Fantomette! I've been hunting around for pics from that red-dress shoot for a while, so it's great to get them at last. BB was so young and so vibrant in it!

And before I go on vacation Thursday for Spring Break... here is a gorgeous full-length BB picture, from a photo-call for 1955's Doctor at Sea! Look at how amazing her legs are-- she seriously couldn't have been any smaller than 5' 6", they go on for days. And her hour-glass figure! She looks like she's been photoshopped but no... all natural. Amazing!

Oh thank you, I was yet to find this picture in HQ !

Jacques Charrier was very handsome, they were such a gorgeous couple. But it fizzled very quickly :(

Yeah Patrick Gilles was a jerk, and not a hot one at that, I mean if she wanted a young handsome man there were a gazillion guys better than him..

Here he is:

I think -based on her autobiography- that her best relationships were with Sami Frey (her partner in 'The Truth') and Jean-Louis Trintignant (her husband in AGCW). They're probaly the only ones Brigitte has never dissed, and God knows she's a big mouth

I also would've liked to see her date other on-screen partners like Louis Jourdan, Henri Vidal and Anthony Perkins, they were cute

and another picture from the red dress photoshoot !
