all this velvet is giving me a stomach ache.
i can't tell properly, but i think there was velvet at costume national as well. brown velvet at that
There's been velvet at Costume, Burberry, Dolce and Cavalli so far and Burberry is the only one that hasn't done the jackets with a satin trim.......is EVERYBODY gonna take a cue from past Gucci collections???

Gucci didnt discover the use of velvet for mens jackets dear spike ;)

and i agree, its a strong collection, love this green knit messenger,
i even get used to the flowers, but i'd prefer something smaller and fresh

i wouldnt wear any of it maybe the green jacket with the yellow little sweater on a pair of blue jeans>the raincoat is the tackiest thing av seen in the last few days

ya...i think the flower thing will be more wearable and better if it's smaller, but it's still very stylish.B)

Gucci didn't invent velvet...

oops thanks your highness,
right invent >not< discovered
was running out of words :D

beautiful colors, but to be honest, it seems way to similar to the colors from womens F/W 2004...but they still work nicely:heart:

but i agree with softie about the flowers...too big & poofy

i think i may pick up those green gloves and that awesome skinny striped scarf(reminds me of harry potter).

Except for the poncho raincoats, i like this collection.

I'm a little disappointed. It's a little too decorated and 'gimmicky' for right now. Feels a little old. I'm usually a huge fan of Bailey for Burberry but not here. I'm tired of the whole 'eccentric English gentleman' thing.

i know what you mean but i'm hoping that last season's [ss05] experience holds true for this coming season...i hated the menswear but then the womenswear was stellar...i must say that i like that he's willing to experiment...

Oh sorry, Lena. I totally didn't notice you'd already said it. Your post was hiding from me...^_^

The collection presents a wonderful array of options. I've always been a huge fan of colour--this collection has a great deal of it. Masculinity does not seem sacrificed because of this. I really look forward to slinking around in some of those sumptuous jackets and lugging all of my late books back to the library in that tomato hued man purse. Perfection.

the BRIGHT BLINDING CLASHING COLORS are very cartoonish!!! I have a migrane now!
