Outlander SH: Season 2 is a different world and it was interesting to explore Jamie and Claire and how much they are not playing themselves, in fact hiding their new identities. Outlander CB: Claire and Jamie’s relationship is much more about equals. Frank and Claire’s balance was off. Claire was a young girl. Jamie and Claire are an equal of souls.
Keri Nork If Jamie were able to go through the stones to Claire’s time, which time period do you think they would choose to live and where? How would Jamie handle the 20th century?
Outlander SH: Jamie would travel to today, but he would not fare well with social media.
Maria Grazia Spila Sam, you always say Jamie is intelligent, smart. But he is not flawless. Which of his mistakes you wouldn’t make?
Outlander SH: I would not punish my wife in that way unless asked
iTunes Do you think Claire could ever readjust to life in the 1940’s after having spent so much time in the past?
Outlander CB: I feel like it will be hard for her, but life has to go on.
iTunes Tell us about the best time you had while filming the show.
Outlander SH: Latter part of Season 2, it’s a great counterpart for the first part when we return to Scotland and there is a lot of action for both Jamie and Claire.

Outlander Oh, I would either have to say seven or thirteen for me. - CB
Caitriona is magnificent is seven, and that would be my favorite. Or 9 or 10 for the ensemble. - SH

Outlander SH: I like 3d pictures and you have to cross your eyes at it. I was really good at it! CB: High heeled sneakers. Sorry for everyone who wears them.

Outlander CB: Yes, I think they could be the power couple..like Obama and Michelle. Not Trump, but Sam’s hair is….

Outlander CB: No, but my skirts tend to absorb a lot of horse pee when I am walking around.

Outlander SH: We like to talk about our characters because it is a pleasure to talk about them.
Carri Cole any scenes cut that you wish were not cut?
Outlander CB: Yes, quite often. The scripts were much longer and we would usually come in about 10 minutes over for each episode. Sometimes it’s sad it didn’t make it to the viewers.
Heidi McClelland Cait, tell us about your all-time favorite art museum. Sam, what is your favorite piece of artwork either musical, theatrical or visual.
Outlander CB: Toss up between LACMA and Guggenheim in Venice. SH: I recently went to my first ballet and saw Swan Lake in London and enjoyed it very much. I’d love to meet Misty Copeland.
Anna Petrera How much of the characters remains with u after you’ve done filming?or once home you are only Sam and cait?
Outlander CB: Only? How dare you?!

Outlander SH: Ah, Gaelic.

Jan Huether You both seem to do a lot of collaboration when it comes to portraying your characters on screen. Has there ever been a time that you two didn’t agree on something in regards to your characters and how they interacted in the script?
Outlander SH: We’re always about finding the collaboration and the middle ground. CB: We’re always pushing each other literally and figuratively.
Kim Hodsdon Kalmanir Which Outlander character other than your own would you like to play?
Outlander: I would like to play Bouton. I think some animal work would be fun - CB
Gini Kutter What type of food are you most excited to try while in NYC?
Outlander CB/SH: Pizza sushi!

Outlander SH: We finished two plates!
Christie Brown I’ve seen in other TV shows that some actors have had the chance to direct an episode of their show, would you guys ever consider doing something like that in the future?
Outlander CB: I would love to, however, Outlander is such a huge commitment and undertaking I don’t think we’d be able to prep for 5 weeks while shooting.
Sabrina Spanke What was the longest time you needed for a take because you couldn’t stop laughing, someone forgot their lines, some misfortunates or because it was too emotional?
Outlander CB: Longest it’s taken me is about an hour to say 5 or 6 lines because I was laughing so hard! Also, last season to say 1 line with Duncan took 10 or 15 takes!
Eleni Varitimos Favorite place to drink whiskey in NYC?
Outlander CB/SH: The Highland Bar!
Jade Amaya If you were to go back 200 years into the past, what would you miss the most about this current century?7
Outlander Guacamole! And airplanes - CB
Guacamole is mine! Actually I would be happy to go back and have my horse back. - SH
Mary-Lynne Kitzman Have you ever had a day while filming or preparing of scenes think “What did I get myself into, I don’t think I can do this?”
Outlander CB: Yes, of course there are days like that but it’s part of the fun and the challenge.
Anna Petrera At the beginning sam you said you were a bit scared about the French costume…have u changed your mind? But kilt is still preferred?
Outlander SH: I think Jamie found the Parisian costumes to be very different from the Jamie you know. He’s not himself while wearing them in the high society while wearing him. To return to the kilts and Scotland is like returning to an ole friend.
