Best collection from NY so far. I loved it, it's really impressive, especially the architectural details. I didn't like the golden dresses, but that's all.
Well some of the coats/jackets are beautiful, as is that simple one shouldered black dress.
But overall this reminds me a bit of his early efforts at CK, when his stuff was more "worked". This doesn't seem to have the same rigorous thinking behind it that his collections lately have displayed.
I absolutely love it.
I have to say though, that the casting is distracting...they just don't know how to walk elegantly enough...because of it, the clothes kind of look awkward sometimes because of the weird way they move their bodies.
I like the majority of this but as it starts to fall short near the end. Not a fan of the metallic dresses.
amazing! can't wait to see this in the shops!
i really like the one-sleeved dress in post #83
Am i the only one love the golden /metallic pieces? the mirority of this collection is good, but i can't agree more with you guys the casting is just bland and plain, and Fransico even rips off his last season, look at that coat on Anna J, i'm biased
Actually, it's odd. It's all a bit 50/50 for me. Like, I love the second gold dress, but the first one does nothing for me... There's a lot of hit and miss. Although the misses aren't major...but definitely some occasional blandness.
Still love most of the coats..
finnally something minimalistic but not dull as spring/summer 2008...
"YAWWWWWN" Thats it? Probably the most boring collection from NYFW so far. He gets more and more boring every season. I do however like the black structured coats with the oversized collars, theyre chic.
The hairstyle is pure heinous and the models are hideous!! Where did he get them from? The Dog pound?
what a let down. there are like four pieces in total i like, which is so rare because i usually obsess over everything calvin. i hate the shredded sh-- and the gold and green and ughhhh.
I still don't like the oversized coats but the textures on the dresses are stunning.
After an architectural minimal masterpiece last season, this feels really heavy handed and overworked. I'm really tired of the one shoulder look also
now that i see the whole collection, it doesn't seem minimal at all to me.
sure, the color palette is reduced, but otherwise the pieces aren't very minimal. Minimalism is all about reducing to absolute form, and this collection is full of superfluous flaps and pockets.
