Única brasileira a vencer o Supermodel of the World, Camila Finn, 15 anos, já começou na carreira com status de top. Ela tinha apenas 13 anos quando ganhou a edição brasileira, em 2004, desbancando mais de 550 mil candidatas. Seus primeiros trabalhos foram editoriais de moda para as revistas Vogue e Glamour italianas e desfiles para Calvin Klein, Cacharel e Chloé.
QUEM: Você sempre quis ser modelo?
CAMILA FINN: Nunca tive vontade de ser modelo. Entrei no concurso porque meu pai me inscreveu sem me falar.
QUEM: Por que ele não falou?
CF: Ele sabia que eu e minha mãe éramos contra. Eu só queria fazer um book, como a minha irmã mais velha.
QUEM: Você é obrigada a aceitar todos os trabalhos que a agência manda?
CF: Eles meio que perguntam obrigando, sabe? Mas se eu bater o pé e falar não, não faço.
QUEM: Você gosta de ser modelo?
CF: Por enquanto, sim.
QUEM: Como é sua alimentação?
CF: Por mim eu comeria de tudo, mas meu pai me controla.
QUEM: Como seria sua vida se o seu pai não estivesse sempre com você?
CF: Se ele não estivesse comigo eu iria comer muito, ficar ansiosa e deprimida. Tem horas que quero voltar para casa, fico muito triste, e meu pai tenta me consolar.
QUEM: Por que você acha que ele deixou a vida dele de lado para acompanhar você?
CF: Ele fez isso para a gente mudar de vida e pelo orgulho de ver a filha 'em tal campanha' e 'em tal revista'. E, principalmente, para eu ter um futuro melhor.

Rogério Finn administra a carreira e os ganhos da filha QUEM: Por que você inscreveu a Camila em
um concurso de modelos?
ROGÉRIO FINN: Ela tinha vontade de ter um book, depois de ter visto o da irmã mais velha. Muita gente falava que ela podia ser modelo e eu quis tentar.
QUEM: Mas você a inscreveu, mesmo sabendo
que a mãe era contra?
RF: A mãe era contra, mas ficou feliz por ela Camila ter ganho. Minha mulher falou: 'Você, que começou com esta história, agora vai com ela'. Eu larguei meu emprego de vendedor e fui. Alugamos um apartamento em Nova York, porque nos que as garotas moram homem não pode entrar. Muitas meninas que não têm o pai ou a mãe por perto chegam com uma mentalidade e depois começam a mudar.
QUEM: Como assim?
RF: Moram meninas de idades, culturas e costumes diferentes. Uma influencia a outra. Muitas acabam fumando, usando drogas, virando lésbicas. Meninas quietinhas que conheci aqui no Brasil, há dois anos, hoje só querem ir para a balada em Nova York.
QUEM: A Camila não tem vontade de ir para a balada, sair sozinha, namorar?
RF: Até hoje ela nunca expressou essas vontades. A Camila sabe que, agora, o namorado dela tem de ser a carreira.
QUEM: E como é a alimentação dela?
RF: A Camila sempre foi magra. Depois do concurso, fomos a uma medica da Unesp (Universidade Estadual Paulista), que nos ensinou que ela deve comer de duas em duas horas. Se ela quer comer um pedaço de pizza, eu deixo, mas depois ela come só frutas. Ela está aprendendo a compensar. Nesse meio existem muitas meninas anoréxicas que só fumam e tomam café.
QUEM: Como você escolhe os trabalhos de Camila?
RF: Ela deixa tudo na minha mão, faz o que eu mandar. Penso muito na carreira dela. Mesmo se o dinheiro for muito bom, às vezes ela não faz. Ela não tem mesada nem sabe o quanto tem guardado, mas o dinheiro é dela e está todo aplicado em Nova York. Eu trabalho para ela e tenho um salário.
QUEM: Como você vê o futuro dela?
RF: Ela vai estourar, tipo a Gisele. É isso que todo mundo do meio me fala. Para você ter uma idéia, as chamadas new faces (modelos novas no mercado), como a Camila, vão para o Japão por três meses para ganhar US$ 10 mil. A Camila tem um convite para ficar 10 dias e ganhar US$ 70 mil (já descontada comissão de 50% da agência).

Maybe, but i think that's okay. I mean, she's just a 14 year old girl, sometimes 14 year old girls aren't matture for the fashion business. It's just nice the fact that her dad is always with her. They seem to have a great relationship.
