Ohh wait, I get it now...sorry for the misunderstanding Raimund :flower:

I always wondered whether there were brands that designed haute couture for men - is it like tailoring

^I've wondered that, too.

Anyone have an answer?

Aren't custom made shoes, suits, shirts etc. for men in a way like couture?

Things that take a lot of time and energy as well as exquisite technique to make I suppose.

There are some jackets with a lot of hand pleats to make a pattern, this takes a lot of work.
I believe Mcqueen used this tecnique in his 05-06 collection.

The making of a Sartoria jacket or Anatomica shirt could be considered Couture for men.

Thanks for starting this thread Raimund, got round to it quicker than i did !

From what i remember reading its only available at London Harvey Nichols so far. A relatively small concept collection of clothes only available in black with exception of one or two items and the reindeer skin leather accessories. Pieces are constructed using the finest materials available, one example being that apparently only 3 cashmere overcoats are able to be made from the limited stock of high quality cashmere, everything fully lined in silk etc.

I'll see if i can post the article and photos.

Winston.

it sound semi-interesting..
I can't believe the quality is THAT good though.

Also, how are the designs?

why do you doubt the quality raijin?...
doo...where did you read about this?...sounds interesting indeed...
please post pics if you can...thx...:flower:

thx for bringing this up raimund...:flower:

Im obsessive over quality...

So I will need to see something in the flesh before I can make a judgement.

Im doubting the quality because its a label we have never heard of before, possibly.

hmmm...that's a bit premature imo...i think i'll reserve judgement until i can get more info...i have no reason to believe this couldn't be something great...

i am curious about the designs and styles though...
my concern is that they might be on the conservative and stiff side...

Thats what im thinking.

But maybe not, it seems to have a creative name.

Jsen Wintle's first ready to wear collection is available exclusively at Harvey Nichols London. Impeccably tailored suits, coats, shirts and accessories sit in their own dedicated area.

Having already made his name amongst his private client base, Wintle will appeal to customers who understand the workmanship involved in, and the meaning of, a fully canvassed, silk lined, hand stitched jacket.

Jacket £3150.

Thanks, spacemiu.

That one suit looks yawn though. Why not go to Savile Row?
