I just bought this camel coloured cashmere hooded wool cape with pearl fox trim. It's on layaway and will finish paying for it in November (when it's time to wear it here) I'm so excited to wear it, but still want to enjoy summer in all it's glory. Capes have definitely made a huge resurgence in the last few years!

hope it's as great as in the pictures...

i was at a renaissance fair last weekend and saw some beautiful handmade ones. long, felted wool with large druid hoods and gothic buckles as closures. they were so reasonable at $150 i was shocked. im sure the pattern isnt very complicated but the craftsmanship and her wool choice were impressive. i guess these type of fairs are good places to find really nice chain male type jewelry and neat clothing.

I am making a cape right now I just finished with the draping and the pattern just need to make the final piece.

those are great, orion :-D

I like capes, but being a Seinfeld fan the first thing that comes to mind is Frank Costanza's lawyer...lol.

id love a short black one (that would come up to my hips/waist) or even a red one, but i think the red might be alittle too red riding hood

sometimes i want to feel like i've just put a blanket on when it's cold
cosy and casual, you know?
but i have yet to find one that wouldn't drown my frame.

I love capes from Chloe SS 2010 collection.... and I just found one cape from thirft store which kinda reminds me Chloe.... a little bit.

There are so many capes on the runways right now.
On my search for False Sleeves I've come across soo many that didn't quite meet the criteria of a sleeve.

Totally wearable. It's everywhere on the streets now:

Same. I wish I could wear a cape as confidently as him... It's always my goal.

It seems like every time I buy a vintage dress, it comes with a little matching cape, so I've accumulated tons.

finally wearing mine a bit this season...

a vintage YSL one seems like it would be the holy grail of capes, imho...

I agree, Chloé would be my top reference for capes. Those Hannah MacGibbon made for FW 2009 were awesome too !
