The camera's always loved her: Model in the making Cara Delevingne pouts and poses in childhood photos

At just 21, Cara Delevingne is the it girl of the fashion world having walked for huge names like Burberry and Chanel but it seems she’s always had model looks.

A series of photos from the blonde’s childhood and teenage years have surfaced, showing a fun-loving Cara posing and playing up for the camera.

Cara’s blonde locks and trademark bushy eyebrows make the model instantly recognisable in the cute snaps, as she cosies up to her family including older sister and fellow catwalk star Poppy.

One adorable snap sees a toddler Cara giving her best faraway look for the camera as she’s cuddled by her elder sister Poppy, now 27.

With the sisters, and a pal, dressed in matching floral print dresses, Cara and Poppy show off matching toothy grins and blonde locks.

Fast forward to her teenage years and the star-in-the-making is seen showing off her playful side as she leaps out of a huge cardboard box.

Proving she’s always loved life behind the lens too, another snap sees her playing with a camera as she enjoys an al fresco meal, looking chic in a trilby hat.

Whilst she may love being in the limelight, one photo proves a young Cara took awhile to master her pouting, as the cheeky blonde sticks her tongue out and rolls her eyes for the camera.

Cara actually started her career at a young age, getting her debut on the pages of Italian Vogue at just 10-years-old.

The model in the making appeared in a feature on milliner Philip Treacy shot by renowned fashion photographer Bruce Weber, who apparently spotted her and requested to shoot her.

The rest is history as the model now has the world’s top designers falling at her feet, but modelling could be taking a back seat in the future as Cara branches out into movies and music.

Cutting back on her New York Fashion Week shows this summer to shoot indie film Kids In Love, Cara recently told Grazia that she hopes to focus more on her acting career in the future.

‘It wasn’t a conscious thing,’ she said of her new venture. ‘I just suddenly got one movie and then another one and then another one.’

The model, who has often spoken of her singing ambitions, is also planning to launch a pop career according to reports in the Sunday Mirror.

A source told the paper: 'She loves music, she loves festivals and she loves singing. Now, she wants to add it to her CV and actually get herself a pop career.

Whilst she might be pursuing new artistic ventures, Cara is still very much in demand as a model with the star celebrating on Tuesday after it was announced that she had been nominated for Model of the Year at the upcoming 2013 British Fashion Awards.

Cara will go head to head with Vogue favourite Edie Campbell and Burberry girl Sam Rollinson after taking home the prestigious gong last year.

Elsewhere, Victoria Beckham has been nominated both the Red Carpet Award and Brand of the Year.

The real reason Cara Delevingne won’t be walking in the Victoria’s Secret Show

Bad news for all Cara Delevingne fans – us included.

As well as having to cope without Miranda Kerr in this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, we will now have a Cara Delevingne shaped hole in our hearts too as the quirky model won’t be walking in the show.

Cara hasn’t fallen out with the casting directors at VS though – she reportedly turned down the chance to walk in the show to take up a role in Michael Winterbottom’s Face of an Angel – a biopic about Amanda Knox.

“Victoria’s Secret want Cara to do the show this year,” a source reportedly told the Daily Mail. “They love the quirkiness she brings. But acting is where her heart really lies and she wants to prioritise that over modelling.”

If the speculation is true, Cara will be playing the role of Amanda Knox’s sister Deanna, which will be her third acting stint following her previous roles in Kids in Love and Anna Karenina.

It definitely looks like she is heading in the right direction as far as getting her acting career started is concerned, but we’re certainly going to miss her presence in the VS show.

Supermodel Cara Delevingne has revealed she wants to star alongside 007 hunk Daniel Craig in the next James Bond film.

Cara Delevingne wants to become a Bond girl.

The 21-year-old model, who has launched an acting career, says she would love to star alongside 007 hunk Daniel Craig in the spy films and is ready for the call for the next instalment.

She told the Daily Mail newspaper: ''A Bond girl would be fun. Are you kidding?! I'd do it.''

After smaller acting parts in 'Anna Karenina' and 'Kids In Love', Cara was in Italy on Thursday night (07.11.13) to prepare for her biggest role to date.

Cara will play young English woman Melanie in new film 'The Face of An Angel', in which she will star alongside 'Rush' star Daniel Bruhl and 'Total Recall' actress Kate Beckinsale.

She met her castmates in Siena for a read through of the script, in which her character meets filmmaker Thomas (played by Daniel), who is going through a mid-life crisis as he prepares to make a picture about the murder of a British student in Tuscany.

Cara said: ''The idea I had of her is that she's like me and a lot of my friends who are 21, and travelling around Europe.''

And Cara enjoys the discipline of her new profession so much, she even enjoys going to auditions.

She said: ''Even for scripts that aren't very good. If I'm honest, I don't care what it is. It's an opportunity to learn. I wouldn't turn anything down. It's all good experience.''

The catwalk superstar said she is also taking an Italian cultural course, adding: ''This part is a perfect excuse to learn Italian. I've picked up very little, but I'd like to learn more.''
