Haha.

Johnny, I just looked at yet another disgustingly homoerotic and pretensious magazine called 10 (for men, I think they have one for women). It turned out to be British, and they had a few accessories by CCP. I distinctly remember the mag having a stocklist at the end. Not sure if CCP was on it, but try your luck.

I own a pair of the Poell 'boxy front' pants, so described euphemistially by the ebay seller in question. Like all the Poell pants I've tried they look amazing. Arturo, the fabric and construction are amazing; but with Poell it's also always about the cutting which is amazing; the silouhette is really perfect, long and slim. Sadly this particular pair is a tad small for me. I had planned to wear them with a white aprony dress shirt I've got, which is designed to be worn out, and which falls over the the crotch apparatus. Actually, it looks less obvious when the pants are worn, though still I'd feel self conscious if it were visible. Anyway I am going to part with them.

Thanks Faust I'll have a look. I've seen 10 before, but never bought it, perhaps because it's disgustingly homoerotic and pretentious.

I'm thinking again about those CCP shoes I saw in Paris earlier this year. Oh dear........

Oh, so you bought that? I was looking at them, but the crotch thing was too avant-guarde for me. Agree about the silhouette.

Being a 'disgusting homosexual,' I shall go out and look for it.:innocent:

 that's not what I meant and you know it!

disstop, you're the one that bought those...arrrgh! I was on there looking for those trousers the other day as the seller had those things up for some time....and I finally had the money to snap them up :(

So agree with you about the cutting, though. While everything might look simple in silhouette,he really changes the shapes with his precisely innovative and sometimes off-kilterish cutting skills. Does anybody know if Carol Christian makes his own patterns or does he have a pattern cutter? See,that's really where the precision comes into play from.

No, didn't buy that particular pair. Bought another pair from the same seller in the same design but a different color, a dark greyish blue. Size 48. 3/4 inch of fabric has been let out leaving a crease which apparently will disappear when they are dry cleaned. I'm planning to part with them [for a song]. As I've subsequently discovered, I'm a perfect poell 50.

A lot of his stuff are Unisex.... just FYI

Not so much with the sizing though, Ionn.

He only makes womens trousers in size 38, I believe and jacket is small size too.

^ And his cuts do not flatter the petite woman. You have to be very tall and reasonably thin to look even halfway decent in the stuff. Lord knows it looks utterly ridiculous on me...the words "butch dwarf" come to mind :ninja:

droogist - I agree completely - I tried on some CCP in Paris upon recommendation from runner & faust and I found the same. I am 5"7 and small framed but I was drwoned when I tried on a coat - it also was quite an unflattering length on me (like a Crombie coat) which I just felt was far too manly. Frankly I looked ridiculous. I could see that the clothes were beautifully cut & made from suberb fabrics but they did result in a VERY butch look. Maybe it would work with (in contrast) very feminine clothes but that almost defeats the purpose really (maybe it would work on a tall shapely figure). what do you think of Haute? Interested to know.

hi kit - nice to see you! Hope you are well.
