I shop anywhere. wherever my feet and my credit cards take me

Im an equal opportunity shopper

Can't afford to shop at Prada or Gucci but i still want to look good and wear quality clothes  Those brands mentioned (DKNY,Diesel,Guess...whatever) in my opinion make very nice and original stuff (some of them) :innocent: Im a big fan of Guess  (even tho some of you might think its cheap)

I get annoyed at Banana sometimes by the way they lower their prices for sale items. You can purchase a sweater for 50 bucks then a month later it'll be down to 10 bucks. .

I wear too much Benetton (and Sisley).. but it's the only one I like and it's worth it!
The cut its perfect for me ..incredibly flattering, and the quality its superb!
The only thing I hate its that its becoming a fave for all the gay people in here ... and though I'm terrified of bumping into someone even wearing something I may not be wearing at that moment but that I own ... I just overstock when there are new arrivals ... No one can argue that's sooooooo me!

That's the Gap Inc. policy

That's why I never buy retail  why suffer a few weeks later??

I like Banana/J.Crew/Ann Taylor and the like because they make petites. However, they're also known to vanity size, and I've been "sized out" of some of their clothes because of that. Not being able to wear a size 0 because it's too big when your measurements tell you that you're a 2 is freaky.

There are no H&M's yet in my part of California, so I can't speak to it. I also have never been to Zara. I am an occasional BR/Gap shopper (and will look forward to Forth and Towne when it gets to LA; I am over 35 and fit their target market), and generally love J. Crew shoes, cashmere and accessories.

People need clothes, and who am I to put folks taste on blast? What I worry about is how I spend my own cash.

They also do free tailoring though

Forever 21 has a LOT of stuff that can be easily incorporated into a stylish look, and it's all dead cheap.

H&M and Zara are GREAT for quality quality clothes.
ok sometimes their designer knock-offs are TERRIBLE but you also find some GREAT ones where you can barely see the difference...

Though I do like H&M and Zara I don't think the quality is that good. Some of the pieces are just "cheap" and you can tell they're not well made.

Haha I NEVER buy retail. I love how everything goes on sale hehe. And my friend works at the Gap Inc. factory so she gets discounts to BR, Gap and Old navy. She'll buy the stuff for me with 30% or sometimes even 50% off whatever I'm buying.

I visited Banana Republic when I was in SF, and I wasn't too impressed. The quality seemed to be OK, but not great in any way. Most of the stuff was fairly generic, except for some bags which were heavily inspired by designers, practically counterfeit except for the logos...

If you want great quality for less, skip the middle-market chains and shop at sales/outlets or buy 2nd hand/vintage.

Zara
H&M
Mango
Berschka

And nowhere else, just because of the fact we don't have something else thats cheap and international! (I live in a town in Holland)

I love Zara, H&M, Banana Republic, and Gap. J.Crew bugs me.

I like Banana Republic a lot because they have such a nice petites section.
But the ones like Old Navy and Forever 21... their clothes are really cute but really cheaply made. They look nice at first but face and shrink after you wash them a couple times.

Ive recently become enchanted with J.Crew thier stuff is sooo good again. I remember when J.Crew was like IT and I had one of thier logo tshirts, this was like 1996. I LOVE BANANA, OMG, I can always find something to buy there and they keep giving me 10% off for taking surveys so I love it. I like Zara a lot too, I really haven't bought much from there though...

All other chains I could do without...namely Gap, Old Navy, A&F, AE and Aeropostale...

I love Jcrew-
classic, kind of preppy- and relatively well made.

I don't mind chain stores at all. They offer some fairly well made wardrobe basics at an affordable price that allows me to then spend more money on the "wow" pieces, such as cashmere sweater, or a silk skirt. I would never purchase something like a basic tee-shirt, or everyday denim at a boutique. With the frequency of wear, I know items such as those will start to look worn out quickly, and would have to be replaced more often.

I love Zara and Banana Republic. Why pay more when you can have the amazing fashion

I mix&match my Zara, H&M and vintage stuff, sometimes club monaco. It is a big fear for me to see someone dress the exact same as me, because we all shop at chain stores.
