anyone know if the cerf on Ashley from the previous picture is old or new updated version? I visited chanel yesterday and it was quite smaller than I have imagined. I agree that if you are tall, it would look slightly out of proportion...

you think so? we're about the same height and I think the proportions of the one in my pics look the same as hers. hard to know for sure though without the original to compare. I do remember it being significantly larger.
 
well she's had that bag for awhile, certainly before the rerelease

i just ordered the white caviar small quilted bag with silver hardware, don't know exact name or size, its from the latest neiman catalogue. apparently they're backordered so i gotta wait a little. wondering wether i made the right choice. i looooove chanel, but i also really want the new red balenciaga. what do you guys think? did i make the righ tchoice or should i cancel and get on the wait list for the berry red B-bag? thanx in advance for advice.
 
^ Umm it's a hard call ... coz I love both chanel and balenciaga esp. the new red one . I put my name down on the waiting list for city classique. Can you purchase another bag in August if so then you can get the chanel now and put your name for the red B-bag in august.
 
i was thinking about doing that, but considering the fact that i already bought 4 bags this year, and we're only in April, i would be stretching my budget somewhat, besides, i'm really starting to feel kinda guilty spending so much mony on bags, so i decided just one more, but which one? that white bag is so pretty, and it looks very young, compared to many other chanel bags. maybe its the color or the silver hardware, who knows. but um still torn. that red B-bag should be sumptuous. this is so difficult!
 
^ Ok in that case let's ask yourself which bag you will be using more of and which one will last longer. Have you own a white bag before umm if not be mind that the colour does turn a bit yellow after couple of years no matter how good you are taking care of your bag.

I bought the black cerf today :heart:
I asked the sa for a permanent catalogue but she said it didn't exist...so I explained her what it looks like and then she came with both the black and the white cerf :woot:. She said it wasn't a 'permanent' bag and they only received two of them. I first thought of buying the white one, but I changed my mind and bought the black one. I don't like the gold metal on white, plus the color was not white white...maybe it was the lightening though. Also the black is more classic and strangely looked bigger (that must be my strange perception ;)).
What I liked the most was the leather :heart: It's still durable but not as hard as the caviar! Also I like the many compartments in the bag...Oooh I love it :woot:

are you talking about a white 2.55?
if you are, isnt it part of chanels permanent collection? and its going to be around forever? ;) id get the balenciaga then..

I was on the phone with the Chanel SA here and tried to explain her that I want to purchase the 'Cerf' tote in black or brown if they have any. Not surprise the SA had no idea what I was talking about. I even explained to her the detail of the bag and it made from deerskin leather ...still she confirmed that they don't have any in the store or any Chanel boutique in Australia. Don't we love the SA who doesn't know their products.

Anyway I thought I drop by the boutique and have a look what they have in store. And guess what they have the 'Cerf' totes on display in white, pink and black and it cost aud$2502.

I have not purchased it yet as I think it is still a bit too small for a tote bag. But when I came back I still thinking about it. I love the pics that meeyowsa posted it doesn't look small at all and I'm a 5'2" girl but love a big bag. So I'm not sure whether I should get it or not.
 
I don't think it's ugly at all imo - it's a classic look handbag beautiful made and I'm sure there will be heap of the girls who want to own one and I'm sure that's definaltely not you:innocent:

yesterday i went to the chanel store again....
i held the cerf, (again) felt the leather, did all the bag adoring stuff... (again):innocent:
and guess what.
i didnt notice the price before but it costs around $2600 in korea! :o
insanity.
 
^ugh, the price is worst than Australia down here is about usd$2000+/-. Oh well I wish I could live in US or UK.
