Happy for all the girls.. but honestly I think this campaign would have been better if it was just Stella + Aymeline. They are the only ones who are giving enough strength in the face to pull off the simplicity of the styling/layout.

The problem is that this collection isn't exactly the best one to be put it in a plain, white background with atrocious styling and get away with it. To say the least.

the only problem i have is the make-up (but it goes with the concept of a 5th Av sci-fi punk granny i guess). and most probably the collection.
hair are very louise brooks, coco chanel 1920s, styled with a sci-fi-punk vision.
styling is very good.
casting is very karl lagerfeld chanel. except this moon faced girl (the wig doesnt fit her face structure)...

overall its surprising, since i guess you guys are not very used to a white studio, with no artifice ... but thats a good campain, to me.
trying to make chanel more "affordable" and street-ish...

There's a new catalogue called Seven Muses, that features the advertising campaign, which should be available in most Chanel stores.

it is a hardback again this year, but it clearly lacks originality or mere Chanel factor and once in print, it becomes clear as prints don't lie
To me it is just plain studio shots of 7 [not all of them great muses to be honest], very cold and clinically shot.
On the ther hand, I loved the "COCOMATON" catalog, that was really fun and creative. "Latin Lover" also was a nice campaign....
But on a happier note, the LBJ at Saatchi Gallery gave me a new faith in Karl's photography. I highly recommend it when/if you come soon to London.
