Chanel S/S 2004 Haute Couture

true

I like a few pieces but that's it. I'm a bit iffy on the rest - and pretty disappointed :( *runs and hides*. But I'm usually a Chanel fan!

i like your honesty. Your realistic. There a some things that look alright but ehhhh im not completely sold.

God how I miss this stage of Karl's couture output when he would focus in on one concept -- dropped waists one season, trousers another, blouses another -- and work it in such mindblowingly beautiful, yet ultimately quite simple, ways. It was sexy, it was pretty, it was youthful, it was sophisticated, it was light.

This wasn't even my favorite collection of his and yet it blows most of his recent work out of the water.

I loved this collection, just like I loved all the other couture collections by Karl between 2001 and 2007. I call it his Bougeois/Good-Taste period. His taste really started getting horrible since he moved the shows to Grand Palais (the iceberg, the farm), when he tried to outdo himself but often failed.
