i miss the old charles anastase.. this just looks lackluster

while i've had many thoughts -- some critical -- about charles anatase over the years, i have never counted him as unimaginative. unfortunately, this collection strikes me as just that: for the most part, this reminds me of the darkness prada put forth for fall/winter 2009 ago with some of the playful collars from the miu miu spring summer 2008 collection.

let's recall, that just one year ago, he put forward stuff that while clownish/cartoonish by some standards, did actually propose something uniquely his own.

The collection is quite stunning, very clean yet detailed. Feels like looking at old furniture, materials and paintings.

well it was bound to transpire....charles producing something a bit more mature perhaps a bit more commercial. i think it's progressively got to this point in recent seasons. i actually am rather fond of it. i like it's quieter sense of sweetness. although it will never replace any of the collections he did between 05-07,which were some of my absolute favourites,it's rather nice having charles back on a more familiar plain again.
