Do you ever genuinely want to buy something, but still wait for it to go on sale?

I'm curious if there are people who do this regularly. Can you ever predict if something will end up on sale, or is it a gamble?

Yes, there are some pairs of sunglasses that I want to buy, but I'm going to wait until the fall, because hopefully then they will be on sale. For a lot of the things I want, I can generally figure out when they'll go on sale, so I tend to wait, but if it's something that I'm not sure I'll be able to get, I get it now.

very rarely. If there's something i really want, i usually get it as soon as possible/ i can afford it. I'm not a very good sale-shopper, and if i buy something on sale, it's almost always an impulse. If i want something expensive, that's on sale, i usually get it on hold for two days, think about it, 'would i buy it full-price?' etc. oh, and if i want something online, i might wait for the sale.

Constantly.

I make that decision every single time I traipse into Topman. My local store really goes cheeeeeeeap when it comes to sales and they hold them quite regularly so I end picking up bundles of shirts for about 20 euro, accessories for 50 cents each and jackets/coats for no more than 50!

Crazy.

I rarely buy things when they're full priced. However, most modern sales are mediocre at best (I've seen things marked down 10 cents, yet they're being promoted as a sale); I prefer shopping online and using coupon codes.

For some thinggs I wait until they are on sale, others I pay full price. For instance, with my Mulberry bags, I have yet paid for one at full price- instead I have shopped in the sales, in the outlet store or online.

If something's a must-have for the upcoming season, then I wait a week or two and think about it, and then I buy it if I still want it. However, I buy most other clothes when they are on sale. Nothing makes me more mad when I buy something full price and then see it onsale a few weeks later. :p

I know that spring/summer clothes are on huge final sales right now (end of June to July). When do fall/winter stuff go on final sales? Perhaps January/Feb?

i agree rollagasper, if i pay full price for something and then i see it in the sale i get mad aswel. however ::fingers crossed:: they are rare occations! i can usally tell what items are likely to end up in the sales like for instance some Dior jeans, but other items like jackets which sizes are limited and that i think will get alot of intrest i snap them up! lol

If I really want something and I feel like it will be sold out before the sale, I just pay the full price! I don't always take the risk of not being able to buy it anymore in the sale!
Used to happen to me..a lot. And I completely hated it.
My momused to say; wait for the sale'' And when I'd gone to buy it, it would be already bought by someone else.
But If I care less and feel sure it could be still there in the sale, I just wait.

I typically buy my clothes on sale and my handbags full price just because I simply can't wait when I find a handbag I like which is like everyoneeeee haha. Sometimes it just seems silly to pay full price at most of the retail stores because they move their merchandise so quickly..it's bound to go on sale.
