i really like that blue python... :heart:

i dont think i'll ever be crazy enough to buy another bag anytime soon (still recovering from last night's NAP paddington purchase) and i probably dont need another blue bag in my collection, but wow it realyl is stunning.

Anyway, I don't want to seem psycho and obsessed again. But after further inspection of the Natural python I just received, I found crumbly bits, a few pet hairs, and a long blonde hair in the pocket-spaces between the main compartment and the front and back of the bag. It looks as if it has been used for a bit. (?) Like maybe someone bought it, used it for a day or 2 and then returned it or something.

Do you think it is worth it to return the bag and try to locate another one? I think this will drive me up a wall. I don't think random hairs could just appear inside a bag from just being sent to someone and then them returning it without using it first. :doh:

I don't want to return it and get another one, only to have the same thing happen! How long do I have before I can return it? Maybe I can try to locate another one before I return it?
 
Wow, I hope it wasn't used first... Maybe the hair is from the saleswoman when she showed it to customers? Though it is difficult to explain away pet hairs!?! Anyway, I would try to locate another one before you go returning anything, just in light of the difficulty you had locating this one. Nordstroms does have a great return policy, pretty flexible. I once bought a bag, (never out of the box) 6 months later with no problems. Let us know what you decide, okay? I'm really sorry to hear about your problems. The worst is to have an extraordinairy purchase ruined by something like this. It just makes your heart sink...
 
^^ I think if it bothers you that much, you should return it. But to be honest, I think a lot of bags have a few crumbly bits and dusty stuff in the tiny gaps. It may have gathered in the pockets when in storage or something.
 
I think it's been used. dust is one thing, but crumbs, pet hairs and a long blond hair are not going to find their way into a bag in a store. you should just ask the Nordstrom SA who sold it to you -- I'm sure they know. and maybe they'll give you a discount (unlikely, but it can't hurt to try). but the mere fact that it's been used shouldn't dictate whether you keep the bag. if the bag otherwise looks good (no scratches, stains, etc.) then keep it and don't worry about it.
 
Well, if it was used and looked extremely well-kept, I wouldn't mind, but some of the scales are really bad looking. a little more than just natural curling! And the leather spiraling on the handles just look slighty dirty. It was all driving me crazy, so I called Katie @ Nordstrom IL who located the bag for me and had it shipped to me. I explained what happened. She was extremely helpful and she located another one for me.

She said she spoke to the manager and told him the situation and assured me that this one was brand new (or at least newer than the one I received). She said that this was all ridiculous and that getting a bag in that condition is unacceptable. They are sending the shipping company to pick up the bag tomorrow and as soon as they receive it, they will ship out the new bag.

What a relief! I hope the new one will be alright.

I've done a montage of all the brown shades on the python Silverado to date. Basically just attached 2 of the most current browns from LVR and the maroon one (courtesy of klow-chloe) to the earlier montage that chiangsi so kindly provided earlier on. :flower:

Does anyone know if the dark brown one (dudeiloveyou's 3rd one from left in montage) is still available anywhere at all? I am tossing between a Buttercream Calf Leather Large :heart: or another Python Brown Large :heart: (not sure which Brown yet?) :unsure::rolleyes:

i havent been following the silverados too closely so i ve always been confused with their colors...
 
If I were you I would choose the 2nd or the 3rd over the new brown and the maroon if I still could find one. I think the 3rd and the 2nd in large you may still be able to find if you ring around and try to get one. But if I couldn't get either of those I'd go for the maroon or the all leather buttercream. But the maroon I posted it's medium:(

I must say the 2nd brown.... I :heart: :heart: :heart: it when I got my bag ...open the box... and saw it in the flesh I was so happy :innocent: with the colour even now it's still my pampered baby out of all the bags I have.

Out of all the browns, I adore the 2nd brown the most. Then the last one. The rest dont appeal to me much ^_^

:blush: :blush: Thanks!!! It was my pleasure. Like you, I was getting lost with the browns, so I thought a record of all the browns to date will help, everyone desiring one, including me ;).

Oooo...I just noticed that in the picture of the maroon one from klow-chloe, there is a buttercream leather bag, with silverado features, in the background behind the maroon silverado :D .
 
baghag - it's the tote bag one (the one with out the zipper on the main compartment) but not sure if it's the buttercream though.
 
This is the buttercream I like. Umm don't think it's the same colour with the tote bag in the pic I posted.
