Chloe 'Silverado' Bag

Silverado auth

Hi - can someone tell me if they think this Silverado is auth and if it isn't, specifically why not? The seller said she would send me any pics I requested.

She mentioned that the BIN price was $800 and that she paid $1300 for it several months ago.

Thanks for thoughts!

It looks fake to me. :yuk: It is to short and the leather does not look right. Also look how they blurred the serial number photo. I would not touch this. They never state authentic in the description and they never state guaranteed authentic. The persons feedback is not great either. Call Bergdorfgoodman they have a lot of silverados in stock now. I would not chance it. It is to much money.

hi - I questioned this and she said she tried several times to take the picture with her digital camera but couldn't get it to work correctly. She said she had no problem trying again to take pictures.

When you say it's too short, what does that mean exactly? What about the leather is wrong? I know it's an older version and that leather is much squishier right?

The size looks off to me and the leather looks off to me. I could be wrong, but the feedback is not that great and a start price is way to low for an authentic bag. If it is to good to be true, it generally is. I was on Canal Street last week on business and they had these bags there and this reminds me of the ones on the street. I could be wrong, but something is not right with this bag and the fact she blurred the serial number is another thing.

I agree, don't buy from some who looks like she is shady. Her feedback is bad. Accused of selling a used purse as BNWT. I think the silverado is real (this is one from the spring with the bad shiny leather), but she's probably used it which is why the price is low. I agree, for $400 get a new one from aloharag.

sorry if this has been asked already, but does anyone know the new python silverado colors for next season? thanx;)

klow,

that green python on ebay I believe is 2 tone. Will large size too big for me? I am 5'4" very skinny body. and do you mean the first version is matte python while the dark brown one is shiny python? if yes, I also notice about it as well. I personally prefer the matte one but I have to compare both in real life in order to see which one will suit me more~

I saw that ivory (my store called light petal pink color) in that chloe retailer. It is SOO PRETTY. :woot: But Brown color still my favorite!

cherie - I have the the two tones brown which came our at the same time with the green and rose(pink). The python skin is matte on that version and the cognac and black that came out first version also more shine but not as much as the choc brown. But if you do like the brown then keep it.

It depends if you like carry a big bag then it should be ok. But it's definately a too big for me I'm 5'2".

if you could choose one Chloe - would you go w/a paddington or silverado? My sister can't seem to make up her mind so I figured I'd get thoughts here. I think the silverado is more her style, especially in the chocolate all leather. But she's leaning towards the paddington style. Which of the two is more practical or less trendy? Those of you that HAVE both, which do you use more or would recommend?

Bergdorfgoodman has the ivory python on in the silverado style

Do you think that is a new color or a return? If Neimans has it also, I am inclined to think its a new color, but who knows?

the paddington, imo, looks more feminine/classy and i think more timeless whereas the silverado is more funky, western. i don't have silverado, but just on looks i'd pick paddington.

The ivory python is new color for fall 05.
rowan - I have both paddington and silverado and I find myself using the paddington more. So I recommend the paddington. It is more versatile and the handles can go comfortably over the shoulder where as the silverado has shorter handles.

thanks for the pics michieco!! are those colors from the 05 collection? love the gold colored silverado!

Michieco- the bags are stunning! I particularly like the Ivory Python.

I am thinking of buying this color since it will work nicely in S/S:) I do not have a store closeby to see th bag in person...do you guys think it is too delicate? Will get dirty too easily?

I love the silverado, but personally I dont really like the Ivory. It looks like an albino snake to me. I think the python looks best in darker colors with exception of the jewel colored one.

However, if you really love it, go for it. I know there are some bags I absolutley love that others dont. To each either own :)

Hmmm...I bought the medium red doctor today... I did not think I had interest, but tried it and loved it. I have slightly broad shoulders and the straps fit so much better on my than the regular silverado. Because the bag is narrower on top it fits nicely under the arm.
