Christian Dior Haute Couture S/S 2025 Paris

I actually loved this collection - with the exception of a small number of pieces, everything felt really light and airy, especially the tailoring, which is what i suppose couture should be.

I don’t hate this…
For the first time, I’m seeing La Ligne Corolle. Finally a real Bar jacket!

The presentation and styling are terrible but at least, there are interesting pieces that will do wonders for celebrities on the RC.
fw25 RTW in february, Resort in may...and what else @GivenchyAddict ?
Prefall in April

I've said this before, I will say it again- I am glad she's leaving.

It occurred to me that she, as a designer bringing her identity to a grand house, almost brought too much of herself. A lot of the show staging she's done was more artisanal, more Italian by nature. And Dior is more about refinement and structure, in my eyes. The artwork that was on the walls of the show, as has been included in other seasons- it's just a mismatch for me.

There is a passion with how Italians design, hence the maximalist history of design in Italy; and it's strikingly different than Dior. The house codes were too competitive, which is why I never felt that MGC found her groove. Even this collection; which was almost nymph like in silhouette. It's just not Dior for me.

I hope MGC learned a lot about herself during this appointment term.
I am ready for the next era and a new CD to lead Dior into the future.

When I saw the pics, I knew she was a designer, very predictable and it resambles of McQueen.

Everyone’s saying Mary Grace needs to step aside and let JWA take over acting like he’s the ultimate savior of Dior. Sure, it will be different, but will it really be that much better? It might just end up being a different kind of ugly.

Who styled that?

Elin Svahn.
Don't even get me started.
Her obsession with putting knee-high socks with everything needs to be studied in a psychiatric institution.

The Dior shows and campaigns were 10000000000% better when Karl Templer was styling IMO. They were a good team and he knew how to elevate the collections in a way. Templer was also styling for Valentino under MGC and PPP too which is where the partnership started.

and Elin Svahn used to assist Karl Templer, but Maria Dior dropped Karl during Me Too

It's going to be just as horrific. Different yes maybe even more less stylish. Clever is his forte

Something about a number of the panniers seems off; they appear to be warped or uneven. I don't think she's a technically skilled enough designer to pull the shape off. As soon as she's not doing the same sort of columnar, Grecian drapery her work starts to feel very clunky and contrived (though, to be fair, I've found a lot of her work to be contrived).
