True! I am not sure if I read somewhere they could still make embroideries for other brands, after being bought by Chanel...maybe Lola can tell us??And Lesage has been bought by Chanel in 2002 I think. Not sure they can supply Chanel's competitors in priority.
Ahaha. I’m there.True! I am not sure if I read somewhere they could still make embroideries for other brands, after being bought by Chanel...maybe Lola can tell us??
@Lola701 I summon you!!
She was an accessory designer who happened to be in the right place at the right time when she got promoted at Valentino. Somewhere along the way, she rebranded herself as a fashion designer. At her core, she’s great at making sellable bags and shoes which was something LVMH was well aware of when they hired her.She has 0 talent to create clothes, I wonder why she wanted to be a designer.
Indeed… it’s crazy someone like her has been at the helm of Dior for so many years. Yes, it’s been a commercial success, but she’s so… untalented as a designer. She’s a great marketer though.She was an accessory designer who happened to be in the right place at the right time when she got promoted at Valentino. Exactly like her friend Frida Giannini…She was an accessory designer who happened to be in the right place at the right time when she got promoted at Valentino. Somewhere along the way, she rebranded herself as a fashion designer. At her core, she’s great at making sellable bags and shoes which was something LVMH was well aware of when they hired her.
Thank you for the info!!Ahaha. I’m there.
Lesage can make embroideries for other houses but Chanel is their main client. All the brands at 19M can work for others but Chanel is their first client already by the number of collections.
I know Dior occasionally works with Vermont but the large portion of their embroideries is done in India.
I think Vuitton has a lot more of their pieces embroidered in France than Dior.
