Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2026 Paris

The MGC relics are probably the only things that will sell.
JWA and Blazy really come up with some aggressively ugly proportions and shoes.

Every Dior exhibit displays their toiles in pride of place because they know those elegant cuts are the foundation of the brand's success and recognition. It's a joke that he says he's bringing back the bias cut, he doesn't have a clue about cut or drape. The yellow satin dress with unfinished edges at the neck and hem could only work if the execution was perfect everywhere else. As it is, it will probably be fraying in the store.
He can choose the flimsiest fabrics and florals and still make them look stodgy.

I can't get over the black coat with the train, clashing applique roses, and what looks like a fake fur collar. Dior still produces real fur outerwear (not always cut well but still of good quality) so there's no excuse for such a simple fur collar to look more ragged than Shein.

I'm sorry but I'm finding the accessories to be extremely ugly, overdesigned, trying so hard to be "cool" and "edgy":
- Those 100% low quality zamak / brass alloy aged gold Dior badges put on bags and shoes. I wonder if they are gonna tarnish after 2 wears like Versace costume jewelry...
- The "D i o r" hardware in those suede messengers screams "look at me I am wearing Dior" status symbol
- Those weirdly shaped loafers for both menswear and womenswear

So far I'm only saving the revamped Book Totes (even though they are kinda gimmicky in my opinion).
I wish he didn't show the Oblique motif on the runway / lookbook, he can leave that to the merchandise team.
I said this when the DiOr bags were first shown, but I wish brands would have confidence in good design. Brands can be recognizable from good design alone without needing to put a brand name or logo on it. House codes exist for a reason!

It reminds me of driving in America and you see flags everywhere, flag poles in front of so many buildings, in windows, on cars, in parking lots, building entrances, etc. We're not going to suddenly forget where we are. It's tacky without being any fun.

If you are someone with hips, JWA's Dior is really not for you. If you are someone without shape, JWA's will give you the cartoon version of a curvy body.
Looking through the collection made me think there's either nowhere to put my curves, or there's so much fabric that I would look like a barn covered in bunting. His experiments bringing pannier skirts to the 21st century have been unsuccessful so far.

I don’t know if you went to Dior stores during the MGC era and particularly before her era…
MGC’s biggest legacy at Dior will be the very merchandised offering which means from very casual to Couture.
And since it’s the thing he is following I don’t think he will have any issue making his thing work.

Again her work was maybe more linear because she mostly work with one signature silhouette and seasonal prints.

Dior stopped doing the tshirts, hoodies and the whole thing when Arnault asked Galliano to flip things 20 years ago. So their offering was very elevated and quite edited for a longtime.

The advantage they have with JWA compared to MGC is that his Dior can evolve. He is not a prisoner to one silhouette so he can pivot easily. Maybe his work will evolve into a more fashion forward proposition instead of this mix and match of everything.

I hope celebrity stylists will at least try to not just replicate what Bruno did. This kind of collection is almost an invitation to break down the runway styling.

But I don’t know if celebrity stylists and brands discuss of the goal of their partnership.

The thing is that after three collections his Dior is burnt, seen, boring, absurd and brings nothing to the table.

Being a woman, is there anything someone would like to have from all these garments AT DIOR PRICE? I don't think so.

Being a man, only if you are tacky and into logos.

I hated MGC but I could see why it could sell... can this sell though?

The shoes are even worse than MGCs. And I totally mean it. At least she did the J'adior + the Walkindior + the Dior LA (total success even if ugly) + Dior Rider... Even Raf had more directional footwear.

Yikes. ! Its not a bad collection just not my thing, its seem very American mom but make it paris. I guess I don't understand it. Is it chic ? Jonathan is just not my cup of tea. I wish him the best though. I guess i feel like the old dior fans before John got into the house.

Ughhh, can it be more PRETENTIOUS???

I HATE that look! It's so corny and sucré. Even the pose, the styling. Gives me cramps.

Also, I am sure that skirt comes from the merch team asking him to do long denim skirts that sold a lot under MGC. Looks nothing like JW.

It's like he doesn't have any creative freedom. Although maybe he has and he ran out of ideas.

I don't know how many Americans are on this page, but in the Midwest in the south we Have a lot of deep christians, and they wear extremely long , casual denim skirts.

things I like:
• the fabulous black coat with flowers and white collar on look 4
• the embroidered denim combo, very cool but also classic
• the black bows (on the finishing lines) bar jacket on look 16
• the black velvet bar jacket on look 21 (debatable fit on the sleeves)
• the delicious white shirt on look 24
• dresses 28, 38 and 48 (personal fav)
• coats 4, 6, 9, 11
• it’s miles better than the ridiculous men’s pre fall offering

things I don’t like:
• the birkenstocks
• the heavy denim pants (look 5 is horrible. a sore for the eyes. maybe could be good if less bulky)
• the disjointness of some looks with the collection overall
• the shoes
• the hoodie, obviously
• the fact that I’ll probably hate everything in real life
• most models
• the belts
• every single logo placement
• the tote bag (stop. now!)

Now wait a minute, I love this collection ! It's very relaxed, very cool ! I love it !

Somehow the blue moiré dress reminds me of a girl going to prom who didn't really care to have her dress fitted to perfection. Very endearing. Accepting imperfection.

And I love the jewelry and some of the bags ! 😍😍

I love this look the most because of how streamlined it is, especially the blouse paired with that gold necklace. It's very chic, very elegant. He prefers a more relaxed and slouchy attitude and that can be a very interesting style of creation. Taking very constructed garments and deconstructing to make them look more natural, more spontaneous. Definitely curious what he would do with very formal gowns. It's harder to make them look off the cuff.

The whole collection and the lookbook look so sad and depressing...to the point that the models look like they are going to get executed by a firing squad afterwards.

Everything is so ugly and dusty. No sense of luxury here. If I were Bernard Arnault, I would force Delphine to wear the ugliest looks here, as a form of punishment for her "brilliant" idea to put JWA as the new CD for Dior.
