Christian Dior S/S 2022 Paris

I really like this. It's fun, the way she mixes her messages with the clothes feels natural.

The collection is very pop. It's a mix of Pierre Cardin space age and Dior by YSL years with the last few looks. Also, love that this collection doesn't overload with logos.

It might be Prada-lite and the use of mesh is horible but at least Maria's Dior isn't dour for once. And there are some cute pieces.

and I thought Prada was bad.

what a snoooooooozefest! good grief!
ALL OF IT.
the collection, the set, the music, the cast. what a bunch of boring girls (despite a few obviously).
of course there are a couple of nice pieces but that’s really it.

a display of nothingness down our throats.
how are we supposed to see amazing editorials when photographers and stylist have this to work with?

This is terrible and all over the place.

1st we have Prada redux. Although I will say I love that double breasted blazer in look 3. Those quilted jackets are such a cash grab and basic that it's offensive they even showed them on the runway. Leave it for the outlet.

Then we have "Dior Vibe" lol. Just bad and no sense of humor in the styling. And i'm someone who bought those Versace boxing shorts a few seasons back.

Anyways, the rest doesn't deserve my time. I will just say, it's sad that Frida is out of job while Maria is still employed.

I kind of liked this change of pace for her, it felt a bit more youthful and energetic than her previous offerings for the house. Her collections are always so heavy-handed and lacking a little bit of humor and playfulness so this was very welcome in this collection.

Personally, I found some of pieces, as long dresses, very beautiful but when it comes to other I think has poor approach to her inspirations from past collections. My brain compares it to Zara, being how simple some finishing touches and designs.
These collections are looking more and more commercial. But it's selling.
I think I saw a fan account of Jisoo, Blackpink post about online sales in South Korea. Some news also confirmed it's increase in sales.

I like MG Dior products and what she sales at Dior its just there is no fashion here as a whole its just clothing! no hair, boring make up and then Boxers, the set, the model , its a lot to take in for a john fan like me, but i understand it, its just meaningless and soulless. Also we must understand that the women who buy don't watch these boring fashion shows they don"t care. they just want something nice to buy that has CD logo on it or a nice dress thats it

MGC really stepped up using the time machine to hire Andre'Courrege in1966 and asking him to replicate his collection for ANNO 2022: the actual future.
They gave us Knock offs from the archaeological past!
