Christophe Lemaire S/S 2014 Paris

That would be in the top 3 best collections of the season so far. Every look is beautiful and I love the serene elegance that this collection exudes. Gorgeous colour palette too.

Fantastic collection again, well done. Understated palette, luxurious shapes, have to look at it in detail but for now so much to love here.

so utterly sublime as always...easily my favourite of the season so far.

flawless, the olsens wish they could!

Great pants generally, and an extremely elegant, wearable and timeless collection. Lovely.

Everything is just perfect and so perfectly executed. You can tell the man knows his subject. There's no gimmicks. He doesn't need to try-hard because the fabrics and the designs speak for themselves. That white-sweater dress is so far my favourite look of the season. I alos love his restrain in the color palette and the silhouettes. Like TheRow fantastic collection in NY, Christophe Lemaire gives to elegant women exatcly what they need. Nothing less, nothing more. Timeless essentials executed in the most refined and delicate way with maybe even more ease and elegance.

Brilliant! I love the feel of his clothes, so many designers make clothes so full pretense and gimmicks for fashion victims and fashion bloggers. His clothes take me back to the mid late 70s to early 80s, when clothes were easy, glamorous , yet so chic. One of my favs of the season! Im sure he will do a great job at Hermes.

As much as I love collections that are sublimely ornate, there is something to be said for a collection like this, that is just completely and utterly wearable while remaining envy-inducing.

Christophe Lemaire borrowed liberally from men’s wardrobes for his collection, which featured unfussy silhouettes with minimal accessorizing.

Trouser suits, trenchcoats and Mao jackets established an elegant urban mood, sometimes softened with draped blouses. Collarless silk shirts were paired with loose pants or Bermudas for monochrome looks like a blush-pink pajama suit.

Similarly effortless shirtdresses ranged from a midcalf dusty green version with a rounded hem and deep side slits to a knee-length number in crisp white cotton, worn with a chic black wool coat in what proved to be a perfect balance between softness and structure.

So cool and elegant, as usual. Lots of little quirks to keep it interesting, love the pocket lines on the grey trousers and the lower pockets on the denim blouse/overcoat.

The fit is horrible, this doesn´t look just taken from a man´s closet. This looks taken from a man´s (with sadly body handicaps) closet!!

What happens on the shoulders? Are still there? And why there is so much puckering in the seam of the pants???

It's virtually impossible to dislike anything this man does. While this collection lacks the same impact as last Fall's, it's still heads and shoulders over most of the nonsense we've seen this season.

Wearable, versatile and ultimately beautiful clothes. I'll even forgive the Hermès F/W 2013 cape retread because it works so well here.
