Very talented designer that deserves way more opportunities, he could do great at a major fashion house with unlimited ressources (balenciaga?!!). Interesting collection, love the sequin dress with layered tight transparent shirts on top, feels fresh. Some safer choices but everyone can find something to its liking.

I'va always been a Kane fan, since his graduate collection.

He always has an interesting point of view on cuts and textile developments ! It's a pity he doesn't get the true recognition he deserves. When you see mediocre designers being everywhere and him staying in the shadow that makes me anxious.

The pig/chick/mouse dress are fun and a winner to me !

Maybe he needs to show in Milan for one season to get his mojo back I don’t know. There are a lot of ideas but unfortunately none of them translated into desirable pieces for women to wear.

Moving his shows to Milan might help him change his pace a little. London has been quite destitute as of lately.

Milan is a great idea for him as I watched a few seconds of the show and it felt lifeless. He used to be exciting … exciting for London, that is.

If they were more stylised and not so bundled up together, it could have been kinda Prada-ish in a way. Apparently, according to WWD, he was inspired by his rat-infested childhood home and even implied that there could be rats lurking around the show venue.

A sharper edit would have done a world of good.

For someone that went all in when it came to playing with taste, he doesn't really do that anymore. An air of trepidation or fear is there, maybe of it coming off the wrong way. But that's what makes Kane so good when he's good. I actually like the rat print, but would have been great had it been covered in clear paillettes and had the dresses cut a little more glamourously or obscurely to really play with tastes. Tired of the body conned high necked jersey tubes.

That green sequin dress is amazing. Perfect example of Kane’s craft : great fabric, great detail, cheeky.

Compared to 99% of designers who simply copy vintage Kane seems to be a genius to me !
He brings new ideas/stories every season.

Craft? His fabrics are cheap. The sequins look like they are actually machine stitched.

These look like halloween costumes. Made like them too.

A friend who was a buyer at Barney's just told me that it was always torture when they had to buy the collection.
