Now that the feelings of joy -or dissapointment - of college admission letters have settled down...why not post pics of college campuses? There sure are some avant-garde ones out there.....

it looks idealic, i don't know why my uncle was telling me it was in a bad part of chicago

It is in a less than safe neighborhood, but the campus itself is really lovely!

Fun thread idea :)

I've never been to U of Chicago-but have heard the campus is nice..

I've visited Washington State University a few times because of family, and it's a pretty neat campus. Lots of brick buildings and hills.

The only downside is it's in the middle of nowhere. No, seriously. Once you leave Pullman and the campus area, this is the view you'll be seeing for a few hours.

HEY! I GO TO UCHICAGO!!
it's only beautiful from late april to october. but when it's nice, it's SO pretty!

ah uchicago, good school! I love the sort of traditional Ivy covered American style college campuses. I'll try and post some pics of Canadian campuses later.....

I like this thread!

My university is only 6,000 people, very small as is the town it's in. I'll have to take some photos this week! I don't know why I haven't already, especially since I graduate in a month!

don't say that uchicago is in a bad part of chicago before living here.
hyde park does have a lot to offer the people that are willing to look for it.

the neighborhood of hyde park is not built around the existence of the university. also, the community has many reasons for disliking the university: pompous a******s trying to take over the entire community without regard to the other people that live in the area.

(i am not including you in this group. just saying that people need to experience it first before making general statements about the area)

Yeah the place is really big. The two libraries are a garden across from each other, and the rose garden and chan centre are about a block from there. The classrooms are generally in one area, except the engineering and life sciences areas are farther off from the centre.
