College Campuses

^They are my own. :)

It's funny that I didn't realize that this thread started talking about the Uni of Chicago. It is truly gorgeous. Too bad the location is less than ideal... some of the most crime-laden neighborhoods here are blocks away!

^Interesting! It seems there are a lot of passive lighting systems at work. However, I wouldn't want to attend a university that didn't have grass/trees as part of a campus.

Do you know where Qatar is ?
... Coz it's basically the desert ! so sand is more than natural ! and you don't spend that much time outside ... coz inside everything is made for you to feel more than confortable !
in carnegie (designed by mexican duo legoretta) there's a very good atrium to relax !

and there's grass just in front of Cornell Doha and Carnegie Doha (posted after) ...

^Yes, I know where Qatar is! :p

But there are species of grasses and trees that can be sustained in such harsh conditions. Usually the idea of a "campus" is a plot of park-like land with some buildings and pathways to connect them.

Btw, the examples you posted have beautiful architecture!
